This is a beautiful Czech movie where laugh and misery is mixed with melancholy and hope. Worth to see, but only if you know something about European history.

Or you can learn just by watching it. Jiøí Kodet is an excellent actor. I have been enjoying his part most of all.

I liked first two movies - I liked them very much.I had good laugh and I bought video and watch them for few times. Bad. It means that I remember all quotes etc. This third one was like Mike M. was stealing from him self. So sad.

If you consider year when was this excellent comedy made I think it is one of the best in Czech cinematography. I am lucky that I was born there and I can enjoy dialogues and also reflexion of traditions of European fairy tales

One of the best comedies I have ever seen. I have been watching it maybe for 8 times and I just love it. It is black,black, black. It was probably low budget movie even then but dialogues are excellent. It is pity that main character who died so quickly in first few minutes died also very young in his real life.
