#1) if the movie is extremely good #2) if people are unnecessarily bashing a good movie #3) if movie is good but has a low rating.

This movie got reason #1.

This is 2020 and Nicolas Cage's career is all time low. But there was a time, 20 years go when his career was at peak. This is one of those movies where he really showed his acting skills. His facial expressions when a normal everyday man confronts evil and then again confronts evil and then again and again. The more he digs, the more evil he finds. Movie has a simple story but it is very well made. It is an original work of art. Even if you don't like Nicolas Cage much, you should watch this movie. It has some disturbing scenes but those show you how evil lives in the forms of human beings. It will leave an impact on you, a permanent one. It is 2020 and I still remember when I saw it more than a decade ago. These scenes, expressions of Nicolas Cage, still keep on running in my mind from time to time.

I decided to write this review because of 1st reason.

I expected a Low-Budget action movie (B-movie in short), in the likes of Dolph Lundgren, Steven Seagal and Van Damme but it was surprisingly better one. I can not call it a B-movie, it is somehow in-between a B-movie and the big-budget action movies of Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It does not have story development or planning of those big action movies but it is original, funny and has a really good Hurricane (best part of the movie). Go, forget the world, grab something to eat, sit and enjoy. you will not watch it 2nd time but for one time watch, hell yeah :)

I decided to write this review because of 3rd reason. It is good light-hearted buddy-copy action-comedy. Original dialogues, authentic acting, original story and nice humor. Of course, it is not gonna win any awards, no nominations either but if you got time and an action movie guy or action-comedy fan or like to pass some feel-good time or even if you like something "original", get some pop-corn and sit down and watch. It is an enjoyable movie.

This is a reboot of the Godzilla. It is in no way close to original Jurassic Park. That is the only downside. Other reviewers replied it is not that realistic. What I know about it is, that it is a Japanese anime and they are never closer to reality. You see Japanese make their anime, always very original and this reboot is a good example of it, it stands on its own different from Hollywood movie. It has several upsides: Lot of character development, Spirituality and Military Strategy thrown in together, in a very good mix. Definitely worthwhile your time.

A different kind of movie from Van Damme, far away from his usual kind of action movies. You see him as an actor than the one kicking-ass. I saw it many years ago and have not forgotten the experience. It kinda reminds me of another movie called The Beast of War (with Kabir Bedi in ensemble cast). Both set in some desert and both unforgettable in a good way. This movie shows you the toll of war on one man and his comrades, a war with guns and knives, not of hi-tech weapons. You should see this damn well made B-movie. One of the most memorable movies I know.

There are other very well made movies in usual action settings from Van Damme like "Wake of Death" and "Knock Off" and from Steven Seagal like "Urban Justice", "Pistol Whipped" and " Ruslan: Driven to Kill".

It is not a really one of those great flicks with great acting and direction or with those grand budgets, like those of Tom Cruise. It is neither a low-budget film. It's kinda in the middle. It has original story, decent acting, it is well-paced, has balance of emotions and action. It is more like a feel good movie with drama, emotions, action and story all involved. Nicolas Cage had been doing worse movies, this is one of the good ones. I will recommend watching it. Rating given on IMDB is really low, 4.3 ? Come on, should have been 6.3 or something. Sometimes I feel like majority of us have lost that sense and touch of a good movie. I give it 7 out of 10.

I watched it because I thought it was a Budget-Action movie. Well, it was not. This movie was original, had mature acting, original shooting scenes, original dialogues & quite engaging . You become a part of the story. They do not make these kinds of movies anymore . It was serious but not dark, it had funny moments but those were not so funny that they will kill the drama or seriousness of the theme. I consider it one of my favorites. If you are happy then go watch it to become happier. If you are serious then go watch it to admire the theme. Just do not miss it if you like action movies with emotional drama mixed into them.

It is a Budget-Action flick, just like those old Steven Seagal or Van Damme movies. I like those. Only thing is budget is much lesser and acting is bit amateurish. Just expect these 2 and you will enjoy the movie. It is kind of original, fun and entertaining. I never felt bored or felt liked dragged on. Put it on if you got some time to kill on a Sunday afternoon.

I generally do not write reviews. The negative hype around this movie forced me to write it. It is one of the best movies I have seen in my life. It is more than 2 hours long but does not feel so because you get immersed in the story so much that you lose track of time. Very good dialogues, better special-effects, that British humor, amazing soundtrack and twists in an engaging story. Creativity and originality speaks in every scene. Guy Ritchie is at his best. I will put it on the list of must see movies. I generally do not review much but this movie and Kingsman: The Secret Service and Borther's Grimsby are few great movies from British Cinema one must not miss.

Forget about critics and box office performance. I give it at least 9/10 without a doubt. Now I am desperate for part 2.

Two points before I start:

1) I don't write reviews unless a movie is brilliant.

2) I never heard of "Bryan Cranston" before.

After you spend 40 min into the movie, you will get tied to your seat. It is so engaging that you wont be able to leave and you will put all of your work on hold. Bryan Cranston got great acting skills, he shines. Other, not so well known actors, did act well. Whole cast is just an amazing piece of work. Tension is so high in the last 1 hour and then there are few but sudden unexpected twists that will shake you.

Don't miss if you like crime dramas based on true stories. 8/10 for sure

This is one of the Van Damme's best at action. I wonder why it is rated so low. 5.5 oh... come on, you are kidding me. If this is 5.5 then The Punisher must be 4.5. If you want the word A..C..T..I..O...N then don't miss it. If you are Van Damme fan, go buy the DVD. This is not just Van Damme's best, it is one of the best action movies ever made. Movie really has a story because I still remember it. Even after 2 years I can clearly recollect those terrific action scenes. It contains a few brutal scenes, shows "serious feelings of Van Damme" and of course ...A....C....T...I...O...N. This movie hits hard on face. This movie is going to make a permanent mark in your memory.

I don't know why it has rating of 3.x, I am giving it 7/10. Acting was good (you are not expecting Tom Cruise romance, don't you ?). Almost every one acted good. Unlike some other reviewers I found movie very romantic. I am neither divorced nor married, on the contrary I am quite young but I could feel the touch of love director wanted to give. Its based on a true story, you can literally feel what the guy has gone through. I think you need to be mature enough to understand the love shown in the movie, hence all ones in their 20s and early/mid 30s may not be not be able to relate to the movie. Its for you if you think love makes you complete, if you think your wife is the one women for you and you don't need any other till you die and you want to grow old loving her. Go buy a DVD without thinking much. Only negative side is religion is shoved down your throat from time to time (just like movie "Fireproof") and that's why I did not give it 8.

I have seen lots of action movies (yeah, all of Steven Seagal's too). To this date I liked Bourne trilogy, Die Hard 1, Transporter 1 as best action movies. And also "Casino Royal" where Daniel Craig kicks ass as James Bond.

This movie is amongst all those best ones I mentioned. Story is different than them and I think in action, revenge and clarity of mind Liam Neeson kicks major ass. Non stop action with thriller mixed in. I saw him in other movies but never got impressed. He looks older but full of energy. Now he looks like an action star to me. I am looking forward to Taken 2 now.

A long time after watching Rudraksh, I saw a movie titled Munna Bhai MBBS. I was quite surprised how a simple story line can be made into spectacular movie. Enter Rudraksha, learn how to f**k up a spectacular storyline, totally unseen concept in Hindi movies into a disaster. My friend forced me and took me to this movie's first day first night show and we repented a lot later.

As of 2010, I have never seen any Hindi movie, who has such original storyline. I felt hurt that they spent all the money into turning it into a piece of crap. They could have donated that money to UNICEF or The Venus Project, at least it could be useful for building a good social environment. If the movie could have been made as original and as spectacular as story line, it could have changed the way people think about Hindi movie industry.
