Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
A great escape... with incredible jet scenes
Sure, many things were unrealistic. Sure, the plot was pretty predictable.
BUT, it was en extremely entertaining film to experience. Love the fight scenes and feeling the power of the jets.
Highly recommend if you like action, great soundtrack, and want to feel like you're flying jets.
Sing (2016)
So underrated, loved it
I am a huge fan of Sing, and eventually bought it.
There something about the story that fascinates me. I have watched it over 10 times. Seriously.
I love the opening when Mr Moon has the tryouts, and the ending when they perform the show for each other.
Originally I rated it a 7, but now it is a 9 in my book.
The Last Kingdom: Episode #4.10 (2020)
Season 4, better than expected
This last episode provided a great ending.
Overall season 4 was really good - on par with season 3.
Only a couple of times was I disappointed in the plot and action, but overall excellent series.
Thank you to Uhtred and the cast!
Rocketman (2019)
Really enjoyed it! 8/10
I would classify myself as an average Elton John fan. I really enjoyed this movie.
Taron's performance was astounding! Didn't realize how talented he was (acting, dancing, and singing).
It is different from Bohemian Rhapsody - this one is a music fantasy done exceptionally well. It covers Elton through his breakthrough years.
There were some scenes I could not watch though. 😳
Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2019)
Great buildup to the war of all wars
I've read other reviews saying this episode was a filler and boring... FAR FROM IT!
This episode was excellent and provided many important moments, a few truly powerful moments.
9 out of 10 for sure. Well done!
Game of Thrones: Winterfell (2019)
It was good, but not great.
It did what it had to do, and get folks back together. No spoilers but it wasn't as good as I was expecting. #highbar
The Innocents (2018)
A really good story and great acting
I wanted to give it a 7.5. I was surprised how much I liked it. The story developed well with lots of good subplots.
A little slow at times, but worth the watch.
8 Mile (2002)
Eminem intrigues me
Until recently, I did not consider myself a RAP fan. Once I started listening to Loose Yourself at the gym, I began to like it more & more. From there I got interested in Eminem. His path to success is very impressive... especially given all the obstacles in his way.
Tiger Woods made it big against the odds.. I see Eminem the same way.
8 Mile was pretty good.. once I got pass all the cussing. Love the rap battle scenes!
