The Number 23 (2007)

good movie, a big question!
23 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie today. i have to say i enjoyed it. fantastic performance by Jim Carrey (as you could expect). but the movie left me a big question: since when the wife and family friend (played by Danny Huston) knew the author is Walter himself and he is the actual murderer? cuz in the beginning of the film, they act like they know nothing and the fact that the wife gives the book to Walter is the proof of that. otherwise its very irresponsible of her to give him something that could reconnect him to the forgotten past. so, if we say they didnt know anything about the book and the past of the Walter, since when the knew? what caused the wife to hide the identity of Dr Sirius Nathaniel from Walter? what caused her to take risks and go to that abandoned institute alone? i think the movie plot has some critical issues here. what do you think? please share your thoughts with me.

Pad Man (2018)
9/10
a must watch, without any doubt, but with a bitter ending.
6 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Excellent movie, disappointing ending! why? cuz we have a good man here (with excellent acting of Mr. Akshay Kumar) which backward people of his village, including his family and even his wife, treat him at the worst way possible. after that, a good woman shows up and help him while he was in his down and helps him (along with her dad) fly to the ups. she teaches him everything about business and commercial rights and marketing and the necessity of advertisement in global scale. she even does the role of saleswoman for him, one village after another, all on her feet. now, after all those efforts, when the man reaches to his goal and everything is finally good, that stupid selfish woman takes all the fruits of the tree of success and that supportive good-hearted woman takes nothing. this is simplest case of disappointment for every viewer. I know this movie is based on a real life story, so they couldnt change the ending, but this was -at least for me- a turn off at the ending, after all those joyful and beautiful ups n downs. I'm not saying the movie is not good. not at all. I gave it 9 stars at imdb, and still suggest it to anyone who hasnt watched it yet, but cant deny the ending was upsetting.

Alcatraz (2012)
8/10
its shame the show got cancelled.

I liked the show. yeah, it had its ups and downs but after all it was a very entertaining show. acting were pretty good specially Jorge Garcia and Mr. Sam Neil. of course since we haven't seen the ending we cant say how the producers gonna get us to the final encounter with the warden and are they successful to do the job or not but from what we've watched, id say that would be a great final head on. but shamefully we will never have the chance to watch it. sometimes i hate the capitalism for these kinda results! in a non-capitalist economy, this great show would make it to the end no matter the majority of viewers like it or not (and prefer to watch some silly show like teen-wolf instead) but in USA, if the idiots have got the upper hand, the stupid shows like vampire diaries n teen wolf ... will go on n on and a good show like Alcatraz simply got cancelled. what a shame!
