This show sure brings back memories!!!
15 April 2004
I used to watch "You Can't Do That On Television" on YTV but somehow I enjoyed this show better. It was more entertaining and nowhere as gross as YCDTOTV plus the show had musical guests like the local band in my area Trooper as well as Ian Thomas, Max Webster, Cooper Brothers and Alma Faye Brooks (What better guests could you have for a show?) Also it starred Ruth Buzzi. Kevin Somers was by far the best kid actor in the series and so was Christine McGlade as people called her Moose. I loved the episode where the topic was about education and Somers was dressed as the spelling bee and whacked people with his pillow stinger if anyone crossed him and unfortunately the episode is hard to find and I hope to one day find it. Ian Thomas was the best musical guest as I loved his song "Coming Home" which he performed on the "Superstition" episode also Lisa Ruddy and Jono Gebert were always getting slimed on that episode. (I love green slime!)

Although most Warhol films are god awful this one I enjoyed and own!
31 March 2004
A well done film and Warhol's best improvement at making a film than just showing people with skin and fornicating all the time as whenever I saw his flicks it drove me nuts as it was so damn twisted! Of course we have Joe Dallesandro who plays a character who works for a mansion and molests some of the women there but ends up being a hero in the end and his acting is starting to improve as he was so awful in his past work (Probably he was getting off of drugs at this time) and he moved on to acting in non-Warhol films afterwards and doing well for himself. Scream king Udo Kier is great as Dracula and got alot of fans from this film. A film worth checking out and done in Italy where the horror population really lies for films.

Monster Dog (1984)
So bad it's good if you're a die hard Alice Cooper fan like me!!!
13 February 2004
Sure the audio and budget and most plots were bad but for some reason I enjoy this one and I own it on VHS! Of course too I'm a die hard Alice Cooper fan but it doesn't mean I like him in every movie he's in. I mean I hated Prince of Darkness with a passion and he had a cameo in it as the leader of those demon zombies. I liked the creepy music in this and the ending was very sad and would especially upset Cooper fans like me. I love his tracks "Identity Crisis" and "See Me In the Mirror" and had to wait for years to own it on his boxed set The Life & Crimes of Alice Cooper" in 1999 as the songs were never released till then. Take this film for what it is. A fan from Spain wanted Alice to be in this movie as Alice himself was going through denial about being in it as he admits he's not an actor but was paid alot of money for it so you can't say no to that! Some people involved with making this film moved on to big mainstream films believe it or not under different names.

Corpses Are Forever (2004 Video)
Better than Day of the Dead!!!!
11 February 2004
I loved this flick and is similar to those Living Dead trilogies (Although nowhere near a same budget) except this one has a better storyline. Cheesy B-film scream queen Brinke Stevens does a great job playing a scientist named Dr. Thesiger as this has gotta be one of her best performances. Former cult film superstar Richard Lynch is good too as the evil Gen. Morton who tries to keep the Gates of Hell open to gain more power with the zombies!!! We even have a B-film scream queen that originated in my local area of Vancouver named Debbie Rochon who played the lead actor's fiancee Marguerite who does quite well too. Nice supporting roles by "Return of the Living Dead" and "Night of the Demons" B-film scream queen Linnea Quigley as Elli Kroger who is the key role to this film and she is very witty and charming too. We also have her former "Return of the Living Dead" co-star Don Calfa in a supporting role as Jack Stark as he also starred with her in "Treasure of the Moon Goddess" and surprise surprise there's a special appearance by "Sleepaway Camp" superstar Felissa Rose as Gina who is slowly turning into a zombie after being bitten by one and boy is her part disturbing and although my second favourite Felissa film was "Horror" I have to push that one as my third favourite when I saw this film! I am showing this at my underground cinema in Vancouver called the Celtic Cafe Cinema on 36 Powell Street on February 21st at 8pm. Check out the site for more info and I hope you'll all make it as it should be a great night! Also opening for it are two horror shorts I was in called "Room for Rent" and "Streaks in the Mirror"

Like Friday the 13th: Jason Takes Manhattan but in tongue in cheek!
30 November 2003
A fun movie to watch. Not meant to take seriously but a neat party flick! I am in charge of showing indie film's at an underground cinema known as the Celtic Cafe Cinema in Vancouver, BC and I showed this one for sure. I hope Andreas makes a sequel. Alot of gore and alot of slapstick. Very much like a Troma Team movie. Both a comedy and horror mixed in one. Felissa Rose as Sandra Kane does a good job especially her screaming and Joseph Zaso who plays her boyfriend Frank Heller does a decent job as well. Brenda Abbandandolo who has the supporting role as Daisy does well too. This was a shoestring budget I must say but the killings are creative and very graphic with gore! A good music score too! There's even the typical shower slaughter scene at a workout gym.

One of the most creepy endings in slasher history!!! A true cult classic!!! Can't wait to see "Return to Sleepaway Camp"!!!!
6 August 2003
When I first watched this film I hated it as I was expecting a Friday the 13th film and I just graduated from highschool and had to put up with bullies so I found the film disturbing but then this movie totally grew on me and now I own it along with the ripoff sequels SC 2: Unhappy Campers and SC 3 Teenage Wasteland as they bite the dust compared to this one. A homesexual father and one of his children are killed during a motorboat accident and the survivor Angela lives with her molesting Aunt Martha (Desiree Gould) and 8 years later she goes to camp with her temperamental cousin Ricky (Jonathan Tiersten) and Angela (Felissa Rose) hardly says a word to anyone there and people decide to pick on her but end up getting killed whoever is mean to her and the camp owner Mel (Mike Kellin) gets suspicious thinking it's Ricky committing the murders as he always tries to protect Angela. A realistic look at some mean highschool kids and a great imagination of whoever was tormented in school thinking they'll turn up dead for their nastiness. The ending scene is my favourite and you'll see why once you watch it if you've haven't already. Mike Kellin who played the head camp owner Mel did many film, TV and stage shows but passed away from cancer shortly before the theatrical release of this film, Jonathan Tiersten who played the tough as nails Ricky did a few stage shows, TV commercials and an afterschool special called "Seasonal Differences" before he dropped out of acting cause he was sick of the business and became a singer & guitarist for many underground folk-rock band's in Colorado, Felissa Rose who played the shy and disturbed Angela stayed in the business doing Off-Broadway shows around Manhattan and is now acting in several independent horror film's that's riding the film festival circuits like "Horror", "Nikos the Impaler", "Zombiegeddon" and "Corpses Are Forever", Christopher Collet who played Ricky's friend Paul made a success in screen acting first doing afterschool specials and then moved on to film's like "Firstborn", "The Manhattan Project" and "Prayer of the Rollerboys" as well as the mini-series "Stephen King's The Langoliers" as well as guesting in TV shows and is now doing Broadway, Katherine Kamhi who played the bully counsellor Meg has done well herself with her acting career as she was in the daytime soap "All My Children" while she was doing this film and then was in another daytime soap called "The Guiding Light" and several stage, independent film's and TV appearances including 7 of the 12 episodes of the first season of the new series "Dragnet", Tom Van Dell who played one of the bullies Mike did some stage shows and TV commercials as well as singing in a band called "Exit" and now works as a composer for other musicians, Loris Sallahian who played on of the other bullies Billy has been in the business doing several on and off Broadway shows (Mainly musicals) and then sang in many jazz bands signed by big record labels including a group called "Legend" and still does the odd stage acting and changed his last name to Diran, John E. Dunn who played another bully too named Kenny who smoked dope in the film with Mike used to be in the daytime soap with Katherine called "All My Children" and after SC left acting to work for HBO as well as an internet company, Robert Earl Jones who played one of the cook's at camp named Ben is the father of James Earl Jones and has done a bit of acting himself since the 30's and of course our very own Aunt Martha Desiree Gould did a TV pilot before SC called "You Can't Go Home Again" as well as some stage shows but dropped off the acting field and became a Real Estate Agent but however did do an independent film with Felissa Rose called "Under Surveillance" which is coming soon. Also a sequel to this one called "Return to Sleepaway Camp" will be in the making soon and can't wait to see it.
