There is a lot you can do with this genre and this is just another very creative creation. Think of vampires but cannibals instead and any powers over physical damage, life and death is yet to be discovered but it might have led to something like that at the end.

I've been trying to find a cannibal movie that is close to Ravenous (1999), which I believe is the best cannibal movie made. This movie, being a different type and modern day vampire style, gets the job done and makes you long for more or at least a second part.

This movie could easily turn into a series, which I wouldn't mind watching since so many vampire series have come and gone so a changeup would be nice.

Kind of a slow burn movie. nothing ever really happens and at the end you learn an important life lesson. enjoyable, though, as I got through it but had hoped for more.

Also when the girl says you got to kill him you got to kill him! And why does someone hit you on the back when you have a vest on and expect you to be out? You can't get much dumber than that guy here but I would say the girl was the hero. But when the heck did she use the bathroom during the few weeks she was pretending to be out while being raped? And who can do that? I mean pretend to be in a coma while being raped day in and day out? Anyway those are the flaws but I still got through it and didn't think it was terrible.

The only thing I could conclude here is that the ma and pa gave themselves or their souls to the devil for prosperity in return for their families' souls and it was pay up time.
