How I Met Your Mother: The Pre-Nup (2012)
Whoa! Calm down...
I've been watching HIMYM for years now and yes I will admit that since sometime in season 6, the quality of the show has dipped. However nowhere near as much as other people are making out.
Unfortunately too many people take TV far too seriously and can't seem to accept that after 162 episodes it's very hard to keep the show up to the standard that it once was at.
Indeed this episode was a little bit of a wake up call from the last, however people seem to forget that HIMYM has a serious, clearly story and character driven side as seen in season 8's premiere as well as a fun, relaxed and much more unconventional side as in this episode. This allows the show to take a break from the main story to be a bit more 'out there' and purposely uncharacteristic for some varied comedy.
Once more, I'll gladly admit that these types of episodes used to happen less when the writers obviously had more meaningful material. But as I've said, due to the lifespan of the show, it's no surprise to see more episodes like this and I'll gladly watch them taking into account all of the above.
As for the finale, I'm confident that the writers have it in them to make it exactly how we want it. After all, they've been planning it for 8 seasons now. The episode will not be subjected to the exhausted nature as some of the more recent episodes.
P.S. It's also clear to me that the feelings of reviewers above are not well shared, as 90% of episodes over the last two seasons have continued to be well received when looking at IMDb user scores.
Note to sexwizardmoustache <--- seriously? Anyway, I am expressing my opinion, and without trying to sound immature or arrogant, my opinion is that some other reviewers are not taking into account the full spectrum of circumstances surrounding the show as I have explained. This does not render such a review as invalid, just unbalanced.
Oh, so now you're promoting oppression? One minute you're saying that everybody is entitled to express their feelings in reviews, but now all of a sudden you're telling me that what I'm saying is irrelevant!?!? Stop contradicting yourself.
And that bracketed comment is once again clearly aimed at me. It seems as if you like attacking people for their views. Regardless of you saying your comment is ironic, in reality, you continue to oppress, trying to make others think the way you want in degrading my image in calling me a moron. That's simply childish.
