The Head Hunter (2018)
Great movie!
For low budget, I was still, very impressed. One actor, aside from the girl, carried this whole film. Awesome job. I was a bit amazed at how they built the suspense, with the occasional, jump scare. The score was phenomenal, as well. Don't listen to the bad reviews. It was utterly entertaining.
Coming 2 America (2021)
A must see!!!
So much fun, and filled with nostalgia!!! Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall were great! And, Jermaine Fowler and Kiki Layne were perfection! An excellent homage to the first film, as well. Loved it!
Qing Ya Ji (2020)
Beautifully told!!
Such a wonderful storyline! Beautiful effects and heartfelt acting. I couldn't get enough! Mark Chao and Deng Lun are superb in this Chinese adaptation of Onmyoji. Well done!!!
Hua Jai Sila (2019)
Unbelievably, entertaining!
Normally, I'm not into this type of drama, but this series, from Thailand, was so entertaining. It was like watching a Thai Telenovela. Most definitely, a guilty pleasure!
A Family Man (2016)
Must see...even if it's just once.
Don't listen to the wannabe critics. This was a great film. I don't know if this movie was medically accurate or not. I'm not a doctor. What I do know is that, whether or not they got the medical aspect correct or didn't, that isn't what caught my attention. The emotional feel of the film...did. Their acting was superb and heartfelt. I felt their pain, without question. As a parent, this was unbelievably hard to watch. After a certain point, I just couldn't stop the tears from falling. I would absolutely recommend this film.
Only Mine (2019)
Skip it.
Horrible. Horrible acting. Just, plain horrible. It wasn't realistic, at all. Not to mention, it went from 0 to 100, insanely fast. That's not how any of that works.
The Assignment (2016)
Ummm...???
Love Michelle Rodriguez. Love Sigourney Weaver. But, what...in the world...was that?? Original concept. Poor execution. It's not so much about their acting. It's just that no one, in their right mind, would buy into Rodriguez being a man. She's way too feminine. Not to mention, the writing is horrible. This neo-noir wannabe film just doesn't quite hit the mark. I do not recommend this...to anyone.
Viking Destiny (2018)
Don't bother, unless u want to kill some time.
I'm almost at a loss for words. I, hardly ever, give bad reviews, but this movie was atrocious. I get what they were going for, but it didn't quite hit the mark. Aside from the horrid acting, and the (more often than not) ridiculous costumes, they actually put makeup on the actors. I wasn't aware that Vikings wore lipstick. Lol. I was hoping for, at least, a SYFY channel, equivalent film. But, sadly, this was nowhere near that. Not even Terrance Stamp could save this atrocity...and I adore him. Pity.
Luna Nera (2020)
A welcome change.
I love how this show isn't the like other shows, that deal with magic and the supernatural. It's old world, yet modern. Especially, with the music choices. Which, personally, I love. Some of the fight scenes could use some work. But, overall it's a really good show. Apparently, you love it or hate it. I'm with the former. I hope there's a second season.
