I Know Who Killed Me (2007)
Was this film a joke?
This film was treacherous. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be taken seriously or not. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be some sort of imagery or artfulness in the film with a lot of blue, because it turned out really obvious and lame. Her car is blue, the rose is blue, the torture tools are blue, BLUE BLUE BLUE. Lohan's acting is not wonderful in this film, not to mention the plot is horrendous. Most people probably take an interest either because of seeing Lohan dance on a pole or to see Lohan with missing limbs. If that's what you're looking for this is the movie. Other than that, the plot is laughable and the film is just a total bust in general. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone, it's awful and a waste of time. 0/10.
Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
Confusing, yet awesome.
I bought this on DVD as a whim when I saw it was a Kubrick film. Upon my first viewing I was incredibly boggled and the film definitely f**ked with my mind. Once it was finished and the plot straightened out in my mind and upon subsequent viewing, I definitely began to appreciate and thoroughly enjoy the film. Not surprisingly for Kubrick, the film is original and definitely intriguing. Cruise and Kidman, as usual, delivered great performances as Alice and Bill Harford. The plot took unexpected turns and brings confusion to the viewer, but worthwhile confusion. I recommend purchasing the film as I feel that subsequent viewings are necessary to fully comprehend and appreciate Eyes Wide Shut.
Vanilla Sky (2001)
Don't miss out on this one
This movie is absolutely amazingly done. It has great acting, amazing music and an original plot (other than that of the original Spanish version). Even if you're not a fan of Cruz, Cruise or Diaz (which I am not) the movie is amazing and one of my favourites. I highly recommend it. It deals with interesting topics, has an engaging and intriguing plot line as well as excellent acting. I have watched it multiple times and it does not get boring. The characters are all well developed. Tilda Swinton's small part adds to the excellence of the film. This movie is unlike any other filmed I have seen, definitely give it a chance.
Elizabethtown (2005)
Quite possibly THE WORST film I've ever viewed.
This movie left me feeling frustrated and annoyed. The acting was terrible and the plot was weak. Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous was amazing, but this movie shocked me terribly. The plot was cheesy, lame and predictable. Kirsten Dunst's accent is pretty bad and Orlando Bloom's character and expressions were frustrating to watch for myself. From the cheesy random all night phone call (even after Claire was stalkerish and clearly annoyed Drew), to the down right irritating behaviours of Drew's mom and sister... this movie sucks hard. I will never watch this movie again and regret wasting the two hours I did viewing it and am warning all potential viewers to avoid it.
