Romina (2018)
DELIRIOUS DIEGO DISASTER
Delirious Diego Don't Give Up Your Day Job Pal. I've given you a 1 point rating only for managing to get this gobbly story of wiz pans, dislocated dialogue and bad fx on to Netflix. Congratulations. 70mins of my life I won't get back.
Too Old to Die Young (2019)
Patience is a virtue
If you like your series popcorn style - mindless chewable crunchy and fast then stay away.
If not then hang in there.
Even if it's only for Khondji's cinematography.
Ten years from now this series will go down in the annals of filmmaking as iconic and despotic.
It's only failing? This series is before its time.
Before the uninitiated.
The Perfection (2018)
Perfect Trash
Perfect Rubbish Script. Perfect Rubbish Production Values. Simply Perfectly Piss Poor.
Why do scripts this weak get greenlit and made in to films!?
Stay away
Generation Iron 3 (2018)
Generation Snore
Trash. If you like watching cool shots of the director more than subject matter including his weirder sounding voice over then you'll love this. If not. Then stop now. Truly
The Case Against Adnan Syed (2019)
Ordinary
Disappointing. Was eagerly waiting for this to watch. Sadly it was not worth the wait. Poor camerawork. Cheesy music/sfx. Cheap animations. Lazy phone I/V with Adan. And distasteful re-enactment V/O for Hae. It's always easy to be the armchair critic however the sleights of this doco are all valid. Peace
Holy Motors (2012)
If for no other reason...
Watch this film for a glimpse of Eva Mendez.
Other than that, the cinematography shines through a script driving the narrative (whatever that story may be) it's structure (at times) tests our patience as an audience however earning two frog awards at Camerimage is the real winner(s) in Holy Motors.
And Eva.
