Chicago (2002)
Fantastic cast for a fantastic movie!
One of the best movies I have ever seen, the greatest cast possible in the history of cinema. Catherine Zeta Jones totally deserved this years Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her marvelous performance. No body could portray Roxie Hart better than Renee Zellwegger. The rest of the cast's performances also make the movie more worth the while. Everyone loves this movie... it's one of the greatest in cinema history!
Erin Brockovich (2000)
My personal favorite movie...
The best movie ever made starring Julia Roberts in another one of her triumphant performances (Oscar well beyond deserved). Should have beat Gladiator for Best Picture, but oh-well. Watch the movie i know you'll love it!
Blue Sky (1994)
Lange's Oscar well deserved....
One of the most deserved oscars in history. Jessica Lange's powerful portrayl of a wild, vivacious, before her time woman who's loving husband is in the army. Every so often, Carly (Lange)and her husband Hank (in a powerful performance by Tommy Lee Jones) and their two daughters are transferred across the world to different army bases. When Hank is said to have been unfortunately diagnosed with radiation because of operation: Blue Sky,he is put into a mental institution. Carly discovers Hank is perfectly okay, she goes on a determined spree (with her daughters)endeavoring to get Hank out. One of Lange's best films... highly underrated.
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)
The star easily says it sucks.
There is only one Russle Crowe movie i hae ever liked and that was LA Confidential because of a good plaot, Kim Basinger, and of course the magnificent Kevin Spacey. Anyway, every Russel Crowe movie sucked. Erin Brockovich or chocolot or traffic should have beat Gladiator for best picture because i fell asleep-and i even wanted to see it in theaters (i always like movies i want to see). The story looks dumb. Only good "over the seas" movie swere Titanic and Pirate sof the Carribean.
Before and After (1996)
Pretty good....
Before I talk about this movie, i need to state that it has one of the top ten actresses in it. Of course, I mean Meryl Streep. Anyways, the movie ahd a good storyline, but had some bad casting. Liam NEeson, who plays Streeps husband, plays his part great, but you want to shoot his character. Edward Furlong just annoys me overrall (T2 could have been so much better without him in it). The girl wh oplays the litle sister can't act for crap. There were scenes, I thought, that were not dramatic enough because of the script and some of the characters. But both Streep and Neeson are great.
Silkwood (1983)
Probably my favorite Meryl Movie....
This movie is soooooo underrated. It should have won all it's oscar nominations and should have, at least, been nominated for best picture. I loved(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) this movie. Cher puts on an extraordinary performance, as usual, and proves that she can act, this being her first film. Kurt Russle, i am surprised to say, wasn't nominated for an oscar. This movie was great. If you haven't been able to see it, see it!!!!!!!!

The 75th Annual Academy Awards (2003)
excellent alternatives for oscar.
I must admit, i was very pleased with the Academy this year, especially since i was very disappointed last year (because nicole kidman nor sean penn won the awards that were beyond well deserved). I was sooooooooo happy Catherine Zeta Jones won the award and would not have been surprised or upset with the best actress category because all nominations were well deserved. I especially liked Adrianne Brody's spontaneous kiss to Halle Berry....lucky b*****d! The awards this year were very appropriate.
