Kukushka (2002)
Great movie, beautiful landscapes, and funny "dialogues"
This is a very funny movie that perfectly uses the comedy potential of langue barriers. But there's much more to this movie too: great scenic settings, philosophic questions, and of course the absurdity of war cleverly exhibited. What I like most about this film is the narrating pace of the instructor. You have to be somewhat patient to watch this film, as the tempo of the film is very different from what we are used to in American movies. I'm definitely going to watch this movie again.

This movie is very strong and gives a very exact image of the Danish upper-class
I was very moved by this movie because it deals in a beautiful way with some of the very tough decisions in life, and how fate or your social background can catch up with you, even though you do your best to escape from it. Although it deals with the Danish upper-class, of which it gives a very exact image, you can easily relate to it. It's a very tragic film and you shouldn't plan to watch it as a part of pleasant evening - it would kill the mood. All the same, I strongly recommend you to watch this movie.
