Unfortunately, i didn't watch the movie "Trainspotting", so i missed Mullan's acting in that film. I knew that "Orphans" is the first directorial debut of Mullan.

The entire film has been brilliantly directed.The story of the movie in short: four brother and sister gather at a stormy night for their mother's funeral.As they gather, their love, hate, grief, for each other are expressed individually in that brilliant drama.

The entire cast and music are nice. actually, i like Stevenson's acting as "Sheila". She is brilliant.

Congratulation Mullan to direct such a brilliant drama!

Unfortunately, i was not able to watch any Ramsay movie, it is her first movie for me and i can say without any doubt that she is one of the brilliant film maker in world cinema.

The movie has not much sound but i like it. the film is about a woman named "morvern callar" having some bizarre mind who found her boyfriend one the eve of Christmas, and got a message where she found that her writer boyfriend told her to send his novel to the listed publisher and to use his money keep in bank for his funeral.

However, morvern (samantha Morton) send that novel to the publisher by her own name and take his boyfriend's money and spent that money for Spain tour with her best friend "lanna".

Definitely, Morton gives a brilliant performance in her acting career as Kathleen McDermott does. i like her acting also as "lanna".

Well, the movie may be a little bit complicated for some audience but it is a worth watching movie.

basically, i like Verhoeven film because in his film, i enjoy a brilliant pscychosexual story that i have seen before in "Basic Instinct".it is really a wonderful thriller i enjoyed very much.so it is obviously for me to watch this another Verhoeven movie.

well, it is his previous direction before his block buster hit "Basic Instinct" and for that i was very much curious to watch that movie and yeah, the movie has fulfilled my hope and expectation.

this movie "The Fourth Man" is a brilliant pscychosexual drama which is a lit bit complex for some audiences. the story of this movie is about a gay writer named "Reve"(Krabbe), an alcoholic person who is lives by his own moral values and sees many visions that may warn him from a future accident.after the end of his lecture, he introduce a seductive woman named "Christine", who has a mysterious past she doesn't want to reveal.Reve do sex with her at her house as she is a boy.next morning, he watch her sexy, macho boyfriend's picture on her table, the person he met at the station.he is curious to meet him and tell Christine to invite him to her house.

that's it. i don't want to reveal the entire story because it is a Verhoeven movie and the end of the film is really surprising!

especially, i like the character "Reve" which is brilliantly played by "Krabbe".i basically like his acting because as a gay person i am purely identified with his character and yeah i like his charming face.

i would like thanks Mr.Verhoeven to make such a black comedy.

it is said without any doubt or hesitation that this movie has touched my heart.it was beyond my expectation, yeah, i say that. even i could not imagine of this brilliantly made film.

the story of this movie starts from a road accident in L.A. and this accidents interacts many people's life and their relation with other including a racist police(Matt Dillon) and his partner(Ryan Phillip),a ambitious attorney who seeks to gain votes of the blacks(Brendan Fraser) and his self centered wife(Sandra bullock),a black couple,a black detective(don chadle) who are lose to protect his brother's life.all this people play their acts in this brilliant movie.

from this movie we understand about the post 9/11 situations in America and we feel the insecurities of the racial people in America.

congratulation Paul Figgis to direct such a thought provocative movie with strong dialogs, acting and nice music. i like it.

it seems to me that "from the edge of the city" is that type of film which is bound the audience to think.yeah,the movie is complex to understand but i admit that it is really a brilliant movie.

the plot of the film concerns with those people who are Greek-Russians bound to leave their country for former soviet-union in Stalin era. after the demise of the soviet-union they came back to Athens and try to mix with the mainstream society.

the movie tells the story about those third generation young people,the Greek-Russian teenage who are trying to live in this Greek society.we know their way of living through an interview of one teenage named "sasha" who tells us how they use drugs, how they sell their body, their relatinons with their families and their views to the society.

this movie seems to one type of documentary movie about modern Greek tragedy.

it is definitely not a movie for all audience but i like that film.

i watched the movie last night at a local film society in my own country.as a member of this society, i was a little bit confused about the movie if it might be full of nudity without any strong story line and acting,i thought it might be any B grade movie.so before watching this film, i collected several informations about this film from IMDb.com.and yeah, i was right. it not that type of movie that i thought.it is different like one of my favorite movie "Boogie Nights".

the story line of this movie is about a porn star named "moon"(Juliette marques).from her own point of view, we enter the inner side of porn industry, her relations with so-called modern society, her own father, friends and her values.

the script, music, direction and acting are brilliant.especially i want to mention the character "moon" in which plays a brilliant new comer actress Juliette marques. welcome her to the world cinema.her looking, ways of facial expressions and acting are very normal that could be very plus point for her acting career. and i like James woods also for playing the character "pops".

finally, i also want to give thanks to director ash for making such a brilliant adult drama.

i watched the film last year and definitely it made me chilled and surprised to see!

i am a member at a film society in my country.as i went there to watch this film last year, i was asked to give an short introduction about this movie, as another members knew that i search "imdb.com to get informations about movies.i got a problem, fortunately, i collected informations about "odishon" and i gave an short "intro" before the audiences.

but after the end of this film, i was speechless and my mind was blowing. i never thought of any horror movies could be created like this brilliant Japanese film.i was obliged to changed my mind about Japanese movies.

at first the story begins very simply.a widower arrange a fake audition with his producer friend to get a new wife for him. he choose a lonely, a little abnormal minded girl as her new wife. but he doesn't know the girl as simple as she appears to be. she has brutal past that changed her mind..........

the end of the movie is horrifying.all characters act nicely, especially, i want to mention eihi shiina(asami),she plays as a brilliant actress in this movie.welcome her to the world cinema!another characters are good as parts of this film

and i want to give a lot of thanks to Mr.takashi miike to direct such a nice psychological horror movie for us.

well, this movie is not for all audiences.

it's a wonderful black comedy i have recently seen.the entire cast, direction are absolutely brilliant.especially, i want to mention characters named "marylin", "montenegro", maryline's son and daughter. their acting are really good to me.

special scenes which i like in this movies are when marylin sings under the cuburd at her kitchen, she mixed poisons in her dog's milk,the airport scenes, the shower scene of montenegro and marylin, and the arrival of marylin to her family.

especially, i think characters named "marylin" and "montenegro" are nicely depicted in this movie.the bizarre, facial, slight abnormal expressions of maryline are quite brilliant and absolutely i like the character montenegro with his charming face and beautiful personality.

well, it's not the movie for everyone but obviously it's a worth-watching movie.

i watched this movie last night and i have to admit that it was a nice thriller. actually , i don't like those 60's and 70's movie because it seems to me that these kind of movies are very slow and quite wrong(i know that i am wrong).but the movie i want to watch because of mr. kopala.i like his direction.the movie impressed me,especially the acting of gene hackman, and harison ford(although he had a little role).the direction was brilliant.the last 15 minutes of that film was really creepy and suspense. i enjoyed it.

i would like to rate this movie: 6/10.i recommend it for those kind of person who like classic thriller movies.i think it will be not boring for them.

Spanish director alejandro amenabar gave the audience a brilliant,matured thriller by his debue movie named "thesis"(spanish title "tesis").i saw his another two movies named "the others" and "open your eyes" and those movies impressed me a lot and i was interested to see his first movie.i want to say without any doubt that the movie stunned me.

the direction, the way of story line, the acting was superb.the main character angela was played brilliantly and successfully.suspense of this movie satisfied me. at last i want to say that the movie is a worth watching thriller but i don't recommend it not for everyone.

house of sand and fog, is one of the best drama i have ever seen.the acting , plot , direction and music are really superb and wonderful.i will not forget this film very soon.

the acting was really wonderful.ben kingsley as behrani, a strict person ,who has his own dream. on the contrary, jennifer connelly as kathy, has also a dream.both are strict to fulfill their dream.

kingsley and connelly gave their one of the most powerful acting.the music was wonderful and heart touching .

the movie is really a worth watching drama.i really appreciate this movie for everyone.

I have seen this movie recently. And it seems to me that it is really different movie from typical bollywood films.

The script & direction of this movie is really brilliant and worth of praising. Rahul bosh as Aman Kapoor & bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor as Chameli played their roles successfully. Especially I recommend Kareena Kapoor for her wonderful acting in this movie as a prostitute named 'Chameli'.

I recommend this movie to watch who likes different type of films. I rate this movie 10/10. The movie is really excellent.

the film"the fluffer" is really a nice film about the reality of gay porn industry.the main theme of this film is really exceptional and terrific to me. the main three characters of this movie is really wonderful, especially jony rebel and sean.as a gay, i really identified with those characters.i think people who think differenly should see this movie.

i watched this movie in last year when it won academy award for best picture but it could not able to draw my attention. recently, i have seen this movie again and i want to say truely that it is one of the best films i have ever seen in my life. the characters and the theme of this movie is really nice.russell crowe and jennifer connelly has been played their character almost successfully. at the last scene of this film, when john nash was given noble prize and he expressed his love for his beloved wife , i couldn't control my tear. at last, i want to say that the music of this film composed by james horner is really charming and wonderful.

boys don't cry is one of the best films i have ever seen in my life. this wonderful film about sexual identity crisis has been depicted truely.

one of the leading characters of the film is brandon teena played by hilary swank is obviously wonderful.but sometimes it seems to me that another leading character of this film is lana played by choley sevigney is really outreagous and outstanding.

i saw this film in 2001 and it was indeed a wonderful experience for me because it is such a film that reminds us that how complicated and sensitive our relationship with each other. the main attraction of this film is obviously jaye devidson as"Dil" who played this complicated role beautifully.it is one of the best films i have ever seen.
