The Andy Griffith Show: Three's a Crowd (1962)
Another good episode of the Andy Griffith Show
One of the reviewer's mentioned a song that Andy sang a little of and I also thought it was a pretty song.
The credits say it is called " Red Rosy Bush". Nancy Rhodes sings it on YouTube.
Birdman of Alcatraz (1962)
Fine acted Movie
Well acted film from a cast of excellent character actors who only add to Burt Lancaster's fine performance.
If you give a man an inch he will often take a mile. Indeed a man who commits murder only to find a purpose of being curious and eventual caring for birds; shows how fulfillment can bring out the best in a human being. Enjoyable film with the directors close ups giving much flavor to the performances.
The Partridge Family: The Eleven-Year Itch (1973)
Highlight of this episode is Keith singing "Walking in the Rain"
Although another routine episode in Season 3 with some humorous lines, the highlight to me is hearing Keith sing "Walking in the Rain". The cover songs done on this series are often done very well with of course the talented singing of David Cassidy.
Father Knows Best: The Persistent Guest (1956)
"The Persistent Guest"
This episode, "The Persistent Guest" was to me one of the best of the second season. It is a situation where many of us have encountered at some time in our life. The experience we may have had may not be the exact experience this particular episode gives us, but needless to say in the same ball field. Again, the actors they chose for the roles played them very very well. The sensitivity that was portrayed by everyone made you want everything to work out well. The close up shots of the facial expressions added feeling to the episode. If we could have television series today where we can learn more about understanding, giving and loving we would all benefit so much.
Father Knows Best: Blind Date (1960)
Betty's Blind Date
Being that this is the last season of FKB,everyone in the cast, needless to say know their characters exceptionally. This was an excellent episode especially because of the acting. Each one portrayed their character with such thought and sensitivity. I noticed additional closeups that brought more intensity to the story. The facial expressions and dialog brought tears to my eyes as I watched it. As I found in this series, it never dragged, but swiftly moved to keep our attention. It is a series from decades ago that I had wished could have continued longer. As they say, some good things must come to an end. In this case this was a very good thing...Father Knows Best.
