Ethan Hawke has been a great actor for many decades. His latest performance in black phone was ok but the movie itself is a supernatural borefest. No gore, very little death scenes and dumb cops who get their leads from a little girl who's dreams are reality. A lot of the movie also consists of brat kids in school which makes this so called horror film more of an after school tv special.

Black phone doesn't even deserve an R Rating since there is very little violence and the majority of the movie is about a kid locked in a basement. I should've passed on this one. Ethan Hawke should be ashamed of himself.

This very slow film was R Rated...? For what? I was hoping for some shark violence. There is NONE. Nothing but some blood in the water. That's it. I know this movie had an extremely low budget but it would have been nice to see some shark attacks. At least Crawl showed some decent Bloody attacks. This movie barely deserved a PG-13 rating. Big disappointment:

Solid violent action throughout. Great plot. This is the true definition of an action movie. Best revenge movie since Bronson was doing it back in his heyday. The best Rambo in the series.

The concept was great about a slasher in a bunnyman costume but the movie has NO plot and the killing is done off screen. No gore just buckets of blood splashed on people and signs. Terrible dialogue. A complete waste of time. It looks like the movie was filmed with a cell phone. There was absolutely NO budget for this trash. Maniac, Chromeskull, Pieces, even the Mutilator all on a tiny budget were a very good and entertaining movies. Not sure how trash like this even gets made.

A complete waste of time. Who funds this crap? There is no gore, violence, just a bunch of bad tats cgi crawling all over the tattooed girl the whole movie and some sex. That's it. I was hoping it would at least build up to a decent climax and that didn't even happen. This movie was so bad and boring I admit I had to fast forward part of it. I saw this movie on netflix- most of the horror movies on netflix are about 80% bad but this is by far the worst I've seen.The only comfort was when it was over.

This movie had a shot with an R Rating. Since it was watered down on violence w/ a PG rating this movie sucked. Big time. They wanted to cater towards a teenage audience and make more money. This is a waste of two great actors. Go watch Killer Joe instead. It's R rated and a great movie.
