An ok show

I started watching and thought well, maybe. However, I liked the crimes and how they were checked and got convictions. BUT the Rachel character got on my nerves with her neuroses. How they even thought she was doing ok as Sergeant is beyond me because she was petty, spiteful and mostly out of control. Loved Janet and wished I had such self control and most favorite was Gill.

I gave it a 5 because I began to want to slap Rachel in EVERY show starting with Season 3. I almost stopped watching because she was too neurotic.

Disappointed-perhaps this can be called a spoiler or warning

Warning: Spoilers
For a British show I was very much disappointed. Most Brits show much regard for superiors and co-workers and the criminals. This one seemed to rely on trying to swear at each other and everyone around more than the next actor. There may be a very good story here if you can get past all the profanity. The story line gets lost in the sheer amount of vulgarity. I tried watching but simply got turned off by it. I wouldn't work with or for someone who talked to me in this manner. Call me a prude if you must but I expected more from a British show.

The Blacklist (2013–2023)
marginal

I have just started watching this series. I missed it when on TV. I really thought perhaps I was being too critical of Megan Boone (Lizzy) for her awful acting but after reading the other reviews I think I was right. I couldn't decide in the beginning if it was the dialogue that was lacking or her inept delivery. After watching several episodes I have come to the conclusion if they want to save this project they need to finalize her character some way and move another person in to be the lead. She is awful but if she stays I have to wonder who she is related to.

James Spader is his usual awesome self and she only diminishes his character.
