A Pretty Good Horror Movie
1 September 2011
When this film began with a much-repeated formula -(bunch of late-teens getting ready for a road-trip)-I had the distinct feeling that I'd soon be saying "seen It all before". But no, It's actually very entertaining, with plenty of "make-you jump" moments, some convincing, gory special effects and - apart from the horrendous "Australian" accent of Gretchen - some decent acting from a bunch who really seem to be trying hard to make an effort. The teens, along with one or two others, spend most of the Movie In and around a deserted Motel, fending off **(Something!)** intent on dealing out death and destruction. The whole thing starts to get a little confusing until a very clever and unexpected ending which tops off the film very nicely. I recommend this movie, It's definitely one of the better ones of It's kind.

Schindlers list this Is NOT!
1 September 2011
Oh Dear! This may be decent viewing as an afternoon matinée chick-flick, but I'm afraid It falls short throughout. The "concentration camp" Is 3 huts, no watch-towers, inmates allowed right up to the fence and a whole host of cheap sets and factual errors make this a very poor showing. Whilst the friendship blossoms between the two 8-year-olds - one a camp inmate, the other the son of the camps'new Kommandant - the movie rolls ever-so-slowly on with all the thrills and excitement of a snail race. I conclude that the astonishingly-high rating has a high proportion of lady- voters. No disrespect intended, simply this Is NOT one for the boys! Awful!

Fine for the Kids!

OK, so the plot Is a little silly and the effects aren't exactly top- notch, but come on all you detractors - this movie Is aimed at 6-YEAR- OLDS, for goodness sake! It's meant to make the young ones laugh and the adults cringe In embarrassment! I find It rather sad that so many adults have so many bad things to say about a film so obviously not Intended for them! Why would a story about super-toddlers be aimed at a target audience above 13 anyway? This movie Is a laugh and a bit of imagination fun for the little-ones and It does It's job - the sets and effects are poor because they don't need to be any better and after all the whole thing Is pretty tongue-In-cheek! Super-hero kids take on the bad guys - what more can pre-teens ask for? The kids liked It and that's what counts!

Overrated, overlong, boring and plot-less.

Warning: Spoilers
I simply fail to understand how this boring and very 'hard-going' movie has managed to garner so many positive reviews. I had trouble staying awake! The whole idea of a person born an old-man-baby(?)and ultimately reverting back to a baby - but this time,an old-young-baby(?)Is the most puerile, pointless, laughable and unbelievable 'plot' I've ever come across. The write-ups claim that the film centres around a man who ages back-to-front, i.e. gets younger as time passes - instead, we have this mixed-up, silly premise In which an old looking baby becomes an adult, then reverts back to a 'REAL' baby - but who then dies presumably of old age! Quite how this project cost 150 million dollars to make Is beyond me, and I was left wondering on what, exactly, such a huge sum was spent? If you are considering watching this movie for the first time, I suggest that your time would be better spent watching paint dry - It would certainly be more entertaining.
