In the Know (2024– )
6/10
Zach Woods "Gabe" From The Office (US)-Hard Pass
3 February 2024
I grew up with Mike Judge's Beavis and Butthead and loved Office Space (one of my favorite movies). I love Greg Daniel's US adaption of The Office. I certainly appreciate the stop-motion animation of "In the Know" as the work that goes into it is just amazing. The show is an incredible example of the painstaking detail for such work.

However, Zach Woods ("Gabe" from The Office (US)) is bothersome in his role as Lauren. Aside from Woods's annoying demeanor as he portrays in The Office, the show is entertaining. The other characters in the "In the Know" make up for such annoyance. Of course, New York Times has predictably placed the show in a category that is not conducive to every difference of society. Well, if you are giving any credit to New York Times as of the past few years, then simply disregard this review and go about the continued desire for sheltered existence and promote the disdain of recognizing that people are different.

V/H/S/2 (2013)
6/10
Actually, pretty entertaining. Worth a scope if you have free time.
12 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, V/H/S/2 is the sequel to 2012's low budget horror flick, V/H/S. However, it is still able to provide entertainment without the need for crazy CGI effects that is now ubiquitous with modern-day horror movies.

VHS2 feels like a playlist of YouTube videos strung together by a central, yet never clarified, plot. Such statement is not meant to be a negative view of the movie. The playlist-type feel of the movie allows the various LA film school students or recent graduates to hit some of the major genres of horror (ex., Ghosts, Zombies, Demons, and Alien abductions). The creators along with some great make-up artists have managed to create a fast-paced, first-person horror film that kind of leaves the viewer wanting just one more short-film before it ends.

And yes, like the majority of horror movies there are situations where the characters are dumb. For example, instead of picking up a shotgun, a character goes for a lead pipe. However, such situations are not all that frequent in VHS2. I found that a lot of the characters acted as any logical human being would act given the characters' predicaments.

This is a type of horror movie to watch on one of those lazy Sundays or days when nothing exciting is available. The movie has its moments where you might actually jump, but it's rare. The various short-films within this movie in conjunction with great make-up helps provide for a pretty good horror flick. Definitely worth a view for fans of horror movies!
