Frozen (I) (2010)

I don't want to see this movie again
24 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
First of all let me start by saying, Frozen is a really GOOD movie. The reason why I never want to see it again because this is one of those movies that will haunt u forever. I went through some of the reviews & I'm surprised at the amount of negative reviews, I agree to some extent with them, but some of those reviews are way exaggerated.

I wasn't expecting much of the movie, I only predicted that I'm not going to like it, & I was wrong. The first half hour of the movie didn't grab my attention what so ever, the main characters don't really grow into u, in fact, you are going to hate them all a little bit. That being said, you can't stop but feel sorry & terrified by what happens to them after they got stuck up there, I was literally feeling & living the scenes with them & I was really disturbed/stressed/sad......., & all along one thing was going through my head, what if this happened to me, because lets face it, this has happened before & will happen again, & if you are unlucky u could end up going through the same. As much as the characters sucked, they didn't deserve that kind of death "getting eaten by a pack of wolves ALIVE", specially when they turn out not so bad after all, u will really feel sad for them. The scenes are too graphic, even to me (I see blood & guts & laugh: hahaa it's all makeup), I was holding my hands to my face most of the time & holding my breath every time something was coming up.. Stuff shown in this movie happens in real life that's why this movie will be like a slap in the face if u watch it & keep asking yourself, what if it was me in their shoe, what would I do, what would u wish u had learn before to help you save your life here..

We all know we're going to die one day, but it is unexpected, it could be in the most unexpected time or place, & watching this movie & putting yourself in their shoes, will make you appreciate your time & situation & might motivate you to finally do at least one the things you kept postponing all this time. Death is right around the corner, make sure u make the most of your moments alive.

A HUGE disappointment. If I were a Chinese mummy, I would want revenge
27 October 2010
As a fan of the mummy 1 & 2, I feel embarrassed of this one. I'm usually not so harsh in reviewing movies, but this is the only thing this movie deserves.

I can't express my disappointment at this movie. First of all, terrible graphics, it made me sad because the 2 movies before had much better graphics. Second, the story was not interesting whatsoever, the acting was poor & the fight scenes were boring beyond belief. Third, as the a sequel of 2 previous awesome mummy movies, now featuring 2 brilliant actors I always, ALWAYS enjoy watching (Jet Li & Michelle Yeoh), it breaks my heart they agreed to be part of this movie. Their characters were so lame & their lines were even lamer, I couldn't stop wondering WHY ON EARTH did they BOTH agreed to played in this movie. Seriously, WHY??? The only thing that makes me happy right now is the fact that Rachel Weisz wasn't a part of this, she obviously knew how terrible this movie would be. If only Brendan Fraser did the same.

I beg you, NO MUMMY 4. No need to insult Peru's history as well.

Julie & Julia (2009)
9/10
Such a delight, A MUST SEE!
9 October 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the most entertaining movies I've seen lately, or ever. It's not only entertaining, but also motivating! That's why I gave it such a high rating. The movie tells the story of Julia Child, & Julie Powell. The story of how both STRIVE to excel in what they do, going through emotional melt downs, unsporting relatives, relationship drama & other bumps down the road, nonetheless, their determination and positive attitude remained strong throughout the way, till it finally got them all that they aimed for and more.

Julie is your favorite drama queen, you can relate to most of the things she goes through during the movie, you'll feel happy, sad & thrilled for her. Julia, one the other hand, you can't help but admire her will power & how focused she is. The scene when she went home & practiced chopping onions was my favorite scene of her in the whole movie & really touched me. Meryl Streep played her role brilliantly.

The movie was such a delight. For me, it's like a sack of positive energy. If you've been beating yourself for being lazy & postponing doing what you love, this movie might just give you the kick you've been waiting to get. I even signed up in IMDb just to review this movie & say that!

All in all, this is a funny, romance, entertaining drama, but most importantly, a true story. All you have to do is to sit back, enjoy the movie, & let it fill you with positive energy. The message or the feeling this movie will get you, is well worth all of the rating stars. Bon appetite!
