Hooper (1978)
okay
16 July 2003
This was okay. It was pretty slow but did show what it was like to be a stuntman. Now, if you look at Smokey and the Bandit, this was way under that. This had a really good ending though and there were some funny parts. I give it 4/10.

The Crew (2000)
sort of funny
30 June 2003
I figured I'd rent this movie since you all know I'm a big Burt Reynolds fan. Well it was somewhat of a dissapointment but at the same time, it did have its funny moments. Burt was always funny, this one he was okay but it wasn't as good. It was pretty funny when he worked at Burger King. The actors did a good job, it's just that it wasn't the most entertaining flick. 6/10

Hard Time: Hostage Hotel (1999 TV Movie)
okay
30 June 2003
Well, this movie was okay but it was a dissapointment. As soon as I got the tape, I realized it was a tv movie. So, it didn't have a lot of violence or high action in it. It was still okay though. It's not one of his better movies.

Driven (2001)
bad
30 June 2003
This movie looked okay at first. I started watching it. I don't know. I thought Rocky was a good movie but Stallone's performance in this one was really bad. Then Burt played a crippled ex-driver. The young guy had the wierdest haircut and was really wierd. The part where Burt was saying if he could, he'd do it all over again was okay but for me it was hard to keep from laughing because Burt tried to be serious, but he usually ends up laughing in a lot of his movies. It wasn't that great. I suggest not to rent it.

my favorite movie when I was little
30 June 2003
This was one of my favorite movies when I was little. I grew up with this movie and loved it. My favorite character was Charlie and when I was older, I realized that my favorite actor Burt Reynolds was the voice of him. It was a wierd coincidence. Anyways, this movie makes you think of the messages it was trying to say. It's pretty good.

Heat (1986)
pretty good
30 June 2003
This movie was pretty good. He showed in this one like Sharky's Machine that he could be serious. It did show the true life of Vegas too. It had some good suspensfull moments in it too. The end I thought could've been a little better though. I thought that there'd be more to it since it was suspensfull but it ended quickly. It is a good movie though.

Semi-Tough (1977)
bad
30 June 2003
I didn't think this movie was good at all. I expected it to be a lot better. Some parts were okay but it just didn't make a lot of sense. Burt did better in the movies he did before this movie even. Some parts were funny like when he smiled almost evily but other than that, not that good. 2/5

It's okay

The first one was pretty funny. This one has some funny parts but not as many. This was one of Burt's less better films but he did play a good part in it. The fighting part near the end was pretty funny. It was the best part. I give it a 5/10.

Stroker Ace (1983)
Pretty good

I'm a big Burt Reynolds fan. This wasn't one of his box office hit movies but it's worth seeing if you like humor. The end where they had the mess-ups were funny too. In one of them Jerry Reed appeared. That was funny. It all depends on the type of comedy. I give it 7/10.

Not that good
27 June 2003
I don't mind Jerry Reed. I think he played a better part though as Snowman in the other two. This movie gave him a chance to be the Bandit but he couldn't replace Burt. The end was okay. This movie was cheaply made in my opinion though. I don't recommend seeing it unless you really admire Jerry.

Good musical
27 June 2003
Well, I think that Dolly played a good part in this movie and so did Burt. It was one of those movies that's just simple fun and humor. Jim Nabors was okay too. Overall, I don't think this is a bad movie. It's almost like that cowboy type movie because of course it's in Texas. It's fun to watch and rent.

slow
27 June 2003
Some people figured Burt only could act in humor movies but he proved them wrong. He was serious in this movie. It was different of course then the other ones I've seen of him. The middle was so slow, I didn't think it'd get any better than that. The end turned out to be pretty good though. 4/10

great comedy
27 June 2003
This was a funny movie. Maybe it didn't have the best plot or most money used, but it was all comedy. Captain Chaos was one of them. It was just a good relaxed movie. Everybody in the movie were okay. It's almost like slapstick comedy. Pretty good.

good

This movie was a little different than the first. They had to take an elephant across the U.S. It was funny because the elephant liked Burt and would put her trunk around his waist and pick him up. He was like: Put me down! It was funny. Dom played this doctor from Italy. His accent wasn't that great but was still funny. A must see for Burt fans.

Gator (1976)
good, but Jerry should've gotten more credit
27 June 2003
This movie might of been stupid to some people. I think it was funny. The part where Burt notices this pretty lady and it plays that love music. Also it was funny when Jerry gave Burt yellow pills in his drink. Burt started acting drunk. It was good comedy. Jerry played a good role as Bama though. I watched Smokey and the Bandit and Jerry was just a happy, relaxed person. In this one, he was much more evil and like a pimp. He did a really good job but didn't get enough credit though. They should've put him in more movies like this.

City Heat (1984)
Not the best, but not the worst
23 June 2003
This movie wasn't the best made and it was slow at times, but it had some funny parts in it. Clint Eastwood was serious and layed back. Burt was the one always getting picked on for ex: shorty. They both were funny and the end I think was the funniest. Burt's face expressions were pretty funny too. It's a good movie to watch if you're just looking for a mediocre film.

One of Burt's best!!
23 June 2003
I'm a HUGE fan of Burt. I think a lot of his movies are great. This one shows the way the southern life was back in the '70s and proved Burt to be a good ol' southern boy. He did well in this movie along with the souped up car. It's not a high action flick like today's but I still like it better because it captured the much more simpler life they had and it's a fun movie to watch. I suggest you rent it.

The best movie ever made!!
24 May 2003
I'm a HUGE Burt Reynolds fan. I think he's a great actor. I specifically like this movie because he's the bandit who's a legend. Him and Snowman (Jerry Reed) bootleg Coors beer all the way across the U.S. Jackie Gleason played a perfect part as Sheriff Buford T. Justice. Sally Field was funny too. But most of all Burt. He was the charming guy of this movie. Everyone admired him. I loved that black '77 Trans Am too!! This movie's funny, exciting, and fun for all ages. This is a movie I think will be cherished forever. It was one of his best.

Deliverance (1972)
Awesome movie
24 May 2003
This movie was spine-chilling at times, yet you felt like you were really there. Basically, four guys went canoing for the adventure. But, it ended up being their worst nightmares. Even though Burt didn't get the biggest part :(, it was great. You felt like you really knew these people, it was sooo real. If you haven't seen this movie, I suggest you rent or buy it now!! I give it 10/10.
