Fire whomever thought this was a good idea
6 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I am an avid Scifi and Star Trek fan and I honestly felt betrayed by this episode, when I watch Star Trek, I want it to take me to the future, show me somewhat plausible technologies and science, not take me to a Broadway musical with the most stupid script I have ever seen. I thought the previous episode was bad enough pushing the "reality" button that Marvels multiverse has popularised where comics can be realities (WTF). I like comics so I tried my best to accept it but forced musicals numbers caused by feedback from a sub-space anomaly. Get a life writers, I think you are far too up your own luvies and darlings to know your audience.

What an utter waste of time
24 April 2022
I can only imagine the people rating this 9 or 10 out of 10 are shills as this movie is just awful. From the terrible acting (Mark, please retire), the idiotic story line and the moronic final scene. It seems to have simply taken trope elements of The Goonies and Indiana Jones movies and made the worst possible movie based on them. I am giving 2 stars only for the VFX which at least were done well. However, without giving away the none existent plot the final scene was the most idiotic thing I have seen in a long time and I tried hard to let go and just enjoy, instead I just ended up thinking WTFWT.

Some good acting, but such bad writing.
19 August 2020
What can you say, stupid short format, so many plot holes, bad dialog that even the best actor is going to murder. Some good scenes that could have been much better with little effort, the main actor does an okay job probably the best of them but because of bad plot he does so many dumb things.... It is almost like the writers don't consider a persons actions need a logical reason..

Boring and Cliché, missing an all impotent plot
10 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Liked the first two but this installment was missing everything that made the other two watchable. A plot that never changed and had no depth, simply a long string of ultimately boring fight scenes (yes fight scenes that are boring, that's gotta be hard to pull off).

I was waiting for the twist, or some sort of sub-plot that would flesh out this film but it never came. I thought maybe when Halley Berry appeared that something would happen but nope just another fight scene but with more dogs added into the mix.

Even the odd joke one liners were so badly timed that they felt awkward and never fresh or funny and acting was wooden from all but Ian McShane and even he could have done lots better.

And the end, well it just seem to confirm that this film was just really a money grab and padding for the next JW4.

"You pissed john? are ya?" "Yeah......" "Yeah...... pissed at having wasted my time watching this film"

The other reviewers must have seen a different film
31 January 2017
From many of the other reviews I was really expecting something special, I have just seen Lion and so my expectations might be a little high as that is a great film.

What can I say? Not sure why the high scores from so many reviewers but I can only suspect they were simply adding their "SHILLings" to the mix and have no idea what they are talking about.

Bad "made for TV" movie comes to mind, sub-par acting. No real depth to the characters, forgettable in every way with cliché after cliché. Bad Music, bad set pieces, lazy script.

Hour and a half of my life i'll never get back. C'est la vie

Thoroughly enjoyed
2 November 2016
Lots of the other reviews here are quite critical of this show for some of its liberties with the details to the point of one criticising the colour of the stone!!

Not being someone who intimately knows about this subject I wont pretend to question their reasons for so much hate but I will say that I found it both interesting and entertaining as did my 10 year old son who is very excited to see the final episode when it airs.

I found the acting acceptable, but not exceptional, I have certainly seen far worse in some other recent prime time shows. I think the show hit the balance between the history lesson and entertainment so that all ages could be drawn into the story and learn something in the process.

Isn't that the sign of a good show? No hate here, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this.

Is it Bugsy Malone
22 October 2014
Batman, The Joker, Penguin, The Riddler, Poison Ivy and Cat Woman all hinted at but sadly never delivered, it's like watching the back story of the main event, interesting for a little while but 4 episodes in all we've seen is corrupt cops and a few gangsters and all I really came for was to see real super hero's or super villains with all the gadgets and death rays that go with them and now I'm just really tired of waiting.

I'll watch another couple of episodes but I fear sadly this may be another superhero flop.

I do however like how the main cops girlfriend always seems to be in a state of semi-undress.

What happened!
18 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Well the first few episodes really showed promise and apart from a few bits of bad scripting really made me think we finally had a good show to watch. But from ep4 everything changed, the story and acting just failed in so many ways, e.g. the devout Christian wife of an infected passenger decides out of the blue that it's fine to feed her neighbour to her infected husband for complaining about the noise, WTF?

Newly infected people seemed to turn into zombies (Is this a zombie show or a vampire show), except they seemed to just walk so slow they might as well not, it would have been much more scary if they were fast and could fly etc

The script just seemed to fall apart and every episode has been worse then the last. I kept watching to see if things would improve, but it seems like maybe they ran out of money to pay script writers and actors to actually act or maybe they had a script for three episodes thinking this would be a mini-series but someone at the last minute told them to make more.

Even ex-hobbit Sam's acting was appalling although script and bad editing really have a lot to do with the end result here I think. I truly just sat on the sofa thinking, why am I really still watching this cr*p?

A great concept, horribly executed.

Bad... Very bad.
2 October 2013
Bad... Very bad. Bad Acting, Bad Story, even the CGI effects which you would expect to be good seemed to consist of mainly badly modeled robots splashing about in a sea of Gray and blocks of concrete or cars flying about. I am guessing the effects were made to emphasize the 3D experience, unfortunately it only emphasized how bad it all was.

As this is a mainly CGI driven film I have to compare the cgi with things like the transformer films which although not great films in their own right were nowhere near as bad as this turkey.

I should point out I am an utter scifi/cgi fan but I watched the whole thing hoping that things would get better but they didn't, and sorry to say but this over hyped film really disappointed.

it's gone.... :(

Well there goes another great, interesting, watchable, well acted, well written, thought provoking show.

That was one of my weekly highlights on TV and now it has gone after only one season.

I really can't understand what the bean counters are thinking when they pull every good piece of TV in favor of so much rubbish.

Please all you brainless vampire loving kids, reality TV addicted house wives and sports addicted red necks please let Darwin prevail and remove yourselves from the gene pool.

I never thought the film Idiocracy would end up turning into a documentary in my lifetime.

The only thing now even slightly taxing my brain cells now is Touch but I'm expecting that to be canceled any time.

I can't see the trees for the wood

Warning: Spoilers
This is my first review by the way, so please be kind.

I am a Sci Fi fan big time, I love the way it can take your imagination away to a completely original time and place and make you believe it for at least a while.

With Steve at the helm you're expecting the best and maybe that is part of the problem. It seems to me that Steve is trying too hard to produce something that everyone can get into but in the end producing something that ultimately disappoints everyone because it never really pushes the viewer.

I think what is really needed is some teeth and i'm not talking about dyno-gnashers, it needs to be dirty, grimy, slimy, wet, bloody, dark and thought provoking. It needs to make the viewer think, make them confused and make the viewers mind have to work.

The sets look like they have come straight out of an 80's sitcom as nothing has any real depth or grain, I don't think this is necessarily the fault of the set makers but maybe the way it was shot but its like I have been watching a kids puppet show on TV where everything is made with foam and sticky back plastic, it just doesn't look "real".

Take the patrol cars, who in their right mind in a land filled with T-rex like animals would drive a car with no doors. They should be driving around in heavily armored trucks like the one from Aliens 2 not khaki coloured golf carts.

I am still watching for something good for now but is this two dud's in a row for Stevie? Maybe!
