Saving Santa (2017)
A Santa Story For Any Time Of The Year And For Any Age
I feel so very fortunate to have found this heartwarming film short, "Saving Santa" - Keith O'Grady (Director) - Jonathan Fulton (Writer) - Larry Cowan (Co-Producer with O'Grady).
It brought to my attention for the first time the young and very talented rising actress, Eva Morris. There is one scene in particular that, if it doesn't cause you to shed a few tears, you are a stronger person than I. Though very young, Eva has natural talent, and, as the lead, carried the movie on her tiny shoulders like a true professional.
This is a film for the entire family, which is a rare treat in today's world. It also proves, once again, that the Irish can still spin a story that can break your heart and give you hope at the same time.
I cannot say more without giving away the story, but I can highly recommend that you seek out this powerful film short and see for yourself that my words are true.
Atlas Shrugged II: The Strike (2012)
I enjoyed the movie!
As a film score composer, I tend to focus a great deal on the music, which was handled nicely by Chris Bacon. The director, John Putch, turned in a great performance, as did the rest of the cast and crew.
I was a little thrown off at first, because I had seen Part I the night before on DVD at home and it took me a bit of time to mentally and emotionally set that aside when I saw Part II today in the theatre.
Nevertheless, I believe the film was worth my time, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Some of the comments on this post stream tend to focus on the political divide in our nation at this time and project it onto the movie. The book by Ayn Rand has always been a book that some people don't like, as it tends to make people think and sometimes re-think their positions on issues. That is not an easy task.
But, I am not reviewing the book. I am reviewing the movie, and I feel it is great entertainment with the right amount of tension and release.
I suggest going and making up your own mind.
