Banyon (1971–1973)
10/10
Bring Mr Cool Back.
2 October 2020
The coolest guy back then wasn't Steve McQueen....it was Robert Forester. He was the coolest Indian ever in the movie "Stalking Moon". And he was just as cool in Banyon. Along with costars: Joan Blondell, Richard Jaekel and all the gals who filled in for his office secretary. It was a great tv show and even though 50 years has passed, I wouldn't mind watching them again on Amazon.

Jack Ryan (2018–2023)
5/10
Only thing in common with Clancy is the title.
8 September 2018
I read the books....saw some of the movies...and I can tell you the actor picked to play Jack Ryan is no Jack Ryan. His ears jut out and his nose is too long...he is better suited for comedy. Jack Ryan was not a hothead and much more mature than this high school harry. Ryan was married to an eye doctor and lived near Baltimore. What they did to Admiral Greer? He's younger than he should be...and since when does a retired admiral go out into the back country and mix it up with the terrorists. And the final point: They made Greer a BLACK MUSLIM.????? a white man hating organization? what's that all about? Are they defending the Muslim religion? Sounds like Barack Obama had something to do with this. Other than that....It's worth a look....as they say on Turner Movie Classics

Sherlock (2010–2017)
PC Ruining the Show
27 December 2017
Everything was surprisingly free of PC BS.....and then they introduced Dr Watson's frumpy wife...the super agent. And we are back to the tribe of Feminists sans the vagina hats. Sherlock bemoans controlling men....oh brother....can't we keep the ridiculousness out of anything. The CIA is bad...even though they don't have any human intel going since the Church committee hearings during Jimmy Carter's regime. I guess the writers and the producers can't help themselves...after all most of from the Speech and Drama department..

Stan Hurley was the most accurate part of the whole movie.
21 December 2017
Dylan doesn't look Anything like I pictured Mitch Rapp....Rapp should look like a darker more ominous looking tough guy....not a kid with his turned up nose who doesn't listen to his boss. The Stan Hurley character was the best thing in the picture. Although the book never stated what race Ireme Kennedy was, I always pictured her as a Condeleeze Rice type. In the books, Irene was always a lady. She would serve tea/coffee to her associates in her office. She would NEVER use the F word. She tried to have a private life but she was so tied up with her work, it was impossible. Like others have mentioned, the movie was all action with some kid who didn't pay attention being the hero...I expected better...but Vince Flynn isn't around to protect his creation.
