Being: Liverpool (2012)
A good insight
I thought this was a very brave move by Liverpool and one that paid off. I can understand some people making comments about 'not much football', but when you take in to account that the first few episodes were 'pre- season' and the majority of the players were on international duty or holiday then its obvious why. I like the insights in to the players lives and its nice to see that its not all about the football. Its a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of the club and see how it ticks. Its good to see that a club is brave enough to allow access on a more personal level. I also thought that including the 'background' staff was important because it showed that Liverpool care not only about the players, but about everyone from the laundry man to the catering assistants. I really enjoyed it and hope that there is a second series.
My Little Eye (2002)
blair witch on the net
Intrigued as i was by the reading on the back of the dvd box, I was still not prepared for the unusal setup of this dvd. The interactive features were a struggle at first but added a surreal touch to the film. What it lacked in blood and gore it made up for in atmospherics and suspense. It was a scary realistaion of the facts that this kind of web site could actually exist in modern society. All in all i would say this is a worthwhile watch to anyone who likes big brother or blair witch.
