After binge-watching the original "Bosch" series (because wow), I moved on to "Bosch: Legacy." I immediately noticed a significant change in pace but also a decline in the quality of acting among some of the extras, a change that was disappointing.
The scenes zigzag, from one direction to another, which contrasts sharply with the structured flow of the original series
Without revealing any spoilers, I feel that Season 1 of "Bosch: Legacy" is veering towards becoming "just another series", which is a shame given how much the original series stood out for its uniqueness.
I miss the nuanced exploration of right versus wrong and Bosch's walk on the edge of the justice system in the search for justice.
None the less its still Bosch and its still very much entertaining.
When season 2 starts, it begins to find its flow again. Its almost a whole other ballgame, could it be because of the return of certain characters...?
It does spark hope that the series might grow closer to what made the original so good.
