Bosch: Legacy (2022– )
7/10
Its Bosch but without the umpf until season 2
4 February 2024
After binge-watching the original "Bosch" series (because wow), I moved on to "Bosch: Legacy." I immediately noticed a significant change in pace but also a decline in the quality of acting among some of the extras, a change that was disappointing.

The scenes zigzag, from one direction to another, which contrasts sharply with the structured flow of the original series

Without revealing any spoilers, I feel that Season 1 of "Bosch: Legacy" is veering towards becoming "just another series", which is a shame given how much the original series stood out for its uniqueness.

I miss the nuanced exploration of right versus wrong and Bosch's walk on the edge of the justice system in the search for justice.

None the less its still Bosch and its still very much entertaining.

When season 2 starts, it begins to find its flow again. Its almost a whole other ballgame, could it be because of the return of certain characters...?

It does spark hope that the series might grow closer to what made the original so good.

Another Disney miss
10 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's a big no for me.

Just stay true to the look of the animation If not at least stay true to every adaptation of captain James hook.

Maybe if you're a kid and this is your first time seeing a adaptation of Peter Pan it's alright, but not if you seen multiple others

Such a shame that Disney can't seem to get it right.

The movie itself is boring, bad acting and isn't close to the childhood magic of the other adaptations.

Even the special effects are a miss.. Peter Pan whom doesn't move like Peter Pan in other adaptations it doesn't even ignite fantasy.. Very cheap and below par.. I hope Disney gets its act together.

16 August 2022
The show has great potential but the bad acting, the frustrating scene dynamics are a killer for me.

Season 3 ended it The bad acting even gets worse.. and why do character have to be this incompetent really?

I stopped watching after a few minutes In Such a shame.

Amazing need more!
25 July 2022
Normally I would binge a show this time I went through it more slowly Maybe because here and there the show is a bit slow but the story and dept makes up for it

Its really a shame they cancelled it. I wish I knew before I started watching.. Cause I want more!

Amongst the fast, action and violence filled shows that come out on prime I get that it didn't get the numbers cause you wouldn't expect something with dept and a great story arc to be there.

A shame prime didn't see what I see. They have so much potential here.. But unfortunately this is another great show send to the graveyard too soon.

Way to go
23 July 2022
So many games movies and what not made so many examples.

And still it's a huge miss So way to go, well done The poor acting in especially the young versions is beyond annoying.

And I'll stop there

1 for effort.. 1 for the franchise name.

Hands down the best doc about aya
1 July 2022
I've watched it numerous times now And I've got to say it's the best documentary I've seen about ayahuasca.

It takes you on a journey, from the old to the now From the here into the spirit realm

From start to finish it moves it touches and it informs

Really amazing!

Couldve had so much potential. But takes the blood from under my nails..
1 July 2022
It starts off with a good pace Toni collette carries the show in the beginning but the longer the show runs the acting of Bella heathcote gets worse - certain lines she says are in a weird tone and lack all emotion/power That and a character that makes no sense aka bad writing. I mean I get the chaos but one can not do one smart thing followed by something totally out of character for anyone that would do the first

It's good enough that I kept on watching even tho it takes the blood from under my nails here and there But the fact it turned it off a few times just cause how annoying certain aspects in Bella's acting and character are.

Production wise I like the camera work and everything, I mean it's enjoyable to watch and it definitely has potential..

*I haven't finished the show yet I'm halfway in Will add or change once I finished it.

Worst acting I've seen in ages
5 June 2022
Netflix cancels good shows to spend money on this?

That's why they're losing money.

The acting is so bad it should be funny but it's a pain to sit through the movie The camera work is cheap and definitely not on par for Netflix to put their stamp on .. (you'd think)

Love it!
10 April 2022
I did not expect it to be this much fun.

Some episodes left me in stitches.

The dynamics between the cast is perfect

If you want a show that is not complicated with a good pace and some humor give alien resident a go

I just started season 2 I hope they won't cancel this.

Dexter: New Blood (2021–2022)

What a disappointment
9 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
If you're a fan of the Dexter Series you probably start of this show with high expectations and they're somewhat met in the beginning...

It starts a little slow but probably to get new viewers into the narrative too.

I personally started with a 9 because of the excitement to see one of the greater shows back again.

The first few episodes do a really well job and you see the potential.

But longer the show continued the more it felt like "This is not how dexter would've done it".

Safe to say the original show was better in many ways.

But lets not get into details here.

Especially near the end of this show it became messy.

Both in story telling and Dexter.

Now Dexter came close of being caught numerous times but this would've probably have been the lamest way.

Being framed by another serial killer? C'mon.

Now the last episode was a whole franchise killer for me.

The original show ended in disillusion but this one, they killed the dexter brand right then and there.

The question rises.. How can a show (what started as a good show) build on a epic series end it so bad?

Dexter the character and series deserved a better ending.

Something that was promised.. and far from given.

It feels like showtime was looking for a quick buck.. and in the process killing a entire brand...

But who cares about the people who love the original series.

Deff not this writer.

Don't resurrect something that's has never died.
23 December 2021
This "resurrection" is a failure and to me it killed more than it resurrected.

The trilogy is great to say the least.

Part 4 could've been great sadly it isn't.

The plot was too easy
20 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I usually dont write reviews But being a fan of the entire franchise i feel this plot was too easy. After the first sight of sutra i knew what was going to happen.

I feel the idea and story behind it was good But its rushed and just poorly written.

Hope it picks up in the actual final.

MMA fights, combined with the typical "step-up" "you got served" kind of storyline.
30 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I started to watch this movie with part "one" in mind.

Part one for me was like a fighting-style instead of dancing "Step-up", "You Got Served", boys falls in love with girl kind of movie. But then with MMA scene in them, instead of dancing. Part "two" is no different. But you can't really say that this is a part two other then the character "Max" and a few references throughout the movie.

The start of the movie the first thing you'll notice is the bad acting (dialogues) After a while it gets somewhat better, but still annoyed me throughout the movie.

I kept watching but i wasn't trilled by the cracking of the bones. They should've used the first movies effects on that. However the fighting-scenes did look good, but what almost every directer does is make the camera movie all over the place when a fight starts. Something i hoped this time would be different. The story-line is OK can't say i liked it, can't say i disliked it; lets just say i watched till the end. The story follows 4 fighters, but sometimes it felt like they just needed to fill the movie between the fights/training-scenes.

Overall the movie is OK if you like to see MMA fights, combined with the typical "step-up" "you got served" kind of story line.
