Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
I was looking at my watch just hoping it would be over...
Easily the worst Star Wars movie in history! J.J. Abrams is a horrible director! I have no idea why Disney chose him as the person to ruin what could have been a great Star Wars movie. I went to the theater expecting much more and I was actually excited to see the movie. After about 20 minutes I begin to look at my watch. I just wanted to go home and get drunk. I was so depressed that I just spent 40 dollars on this garbage. The PC police probably forced the director to include a woman and and African American as lead characters. Even an overly effeminate villain also thanks to PC brigade. The movie was in no way a sequel it was a rebooted mix of the previous 6 star wars movies. My 10 year old jack Russel Terrier dog could have written a better script then the retarded writers that Disney hired. If you like wasting money go ahead and see this movie.
The Interview (2014)
The most beautiful movie since Fried Green Tomatoes!
I went with my grandmother and her mother to see this beautiful movie. I must have cried at least 17 times throughout the whole movie. Do you remember the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes"? I thought of that wonderful movie and the sound of those green tomatoes frying in fragrant Lard. How sweet, salty, green, and complete in every way. Everyone was holding hands in the movie theater sharing stories of past movie greats, such as "Sister Act 2", "Naked Gun 33.5", and "The Goonies". There was a point during the movie that I actually soiled my seat. I was so happy with laughter and joy. My Grandmother and her mother both loved the movie. They said it was even better than "A Street Car Named Desire". 50 times better! Overall the movie will go down as the movie of this century and the last. Amen for all the wonderful people at Sony, and for my personal hero Seth Rogan!
Dirty Teacher (2013)
I actually enjoyed this movie.
I was watching TV. late at night last week with my wife. Not much on. Came across this one. At first it looked like a stupid "after school special" that they used to put on. Then my wife and I actually got into it at stayed up until at least 02:30 in the morning watching it. Of course it was very predictable, but at the same time the movie was very enjoyable. My wife and I just love these kind of movies that take place in a school type setting. They bring us back in time to when we were both in school. Some of the actors could not act at all. The police investigating the murders seemed to not even care that someone was murdered. Josie Davis from Charles in Charge was in this as the "Dirty Teacher". Overall not a bad movie to watch if there is nothing else on TV.
Psych (2006)
I tried liking this show....
I originally heard about this show online. It appeared on a website talking about the funniest shows on TV. So I decided to give it a try. I was really looking forward to this show after reading all of the positive reviews that appear on this website. I went to the store and wasted my money and bought the first season of Psych on DVD. What a huge waste of money. This show has the feeling of a kids show that you would normally see on Nickelodeon or the Disney channel. Very poor production and writing. The acting is horrible. I found myself looking at my watch just hoping the episode would end! I was only able to make it until the 6th episode of the first season it was that bad. I just don't understand how this show has an "8.4" rating on this website? Are the producers of the show paying people to give it good ratings? Well I took the DVD to the local library and donated it. I really think it is too bad to even borrow from the library. Do yourself a favor and do not waste anytime on this show!
Ax Men (2008)
Glorification of environmental destruction!
I currently live in Europe where people seem to actually care about the environment. The other day I was flipping through the limited channels that I have and came across this horrible show. This is one of the worst that I have ever seen. I am amazed that they would even put this on a channel like the "history channel". I should think that they would be against environmental destruction. I watched 30 minutes of this show until I had to turn it off. They do nothing but glorify the destruction of pristine forest lands and the environment. I have spent a lot of time in the Pacific Northwest and personally have witnessed the destruction of habitat there. You would think the history channel could be more creative instead of broadcasting a show about cutting down "old growth" trees. If anything I hope this show creates more environmental awareness and motivates people to stand up and organize so this type of destruction is better regulated in the future.... My advise is to turn the channel if you ever see this show on TV.
Brazil (1985)
One of the 10 worst movies I have ever seen in my life.
This movie was horrible. The first hour of the movie seems to have some promise of plot but then quickly falls apart. It almost seems as if they had an idea for the story then lost it and continued filming the movie anyway. Sure it has some good ideas about an over controlling government, but they were obviously ripped off from other better sources. The flash back scenes drove me out of my mind. They had absolutely nothing to do with what little story there was left. The main character was not funny, actually he was very annoying. My dog could act better than the blond women. Overall I feel I wasted 2 hours and 22 minutes of my life and I will never get them back, in fact I don't really understand why I even write about this now! Take my advise... Do not watch this film unless you are very very high on something ;)
Cars 2 (2011)
A really bad movie.
I was actually looking forward to seeing this movie after watching the first Cars movie at least 25 times. My wife and I brought our 2 year old son to the theater yesterday. The movie looked promising during the first 10 minutes, but it quickly fell apart after they went on their world racing tour. I was really hoping that Owen Wilson's character would have more of a role in this movie, but he had very little time in it. Just a few racing scenes. Our 2 year old was interested in it for the first hour then he lost all interest whatsoever, and started running up and down the theater, playing with the other children. So we decided to leave the film about an hour and 15 minutes into it. The movie is horrible and it is not even worth waiting for it to come out on DVD. My advise is to skip this movie and see something else.
Super 8 (2011)
Bad "X-Files" episode!
Super 8 was the worst movie I have seen in the whole year! I really don't understand all of the media hype surrounding this movie. This movie reminded me of a bad "X-Files" episode. The first hour is full of very boring dialog. The group of children spend the hour crying about not having enough film for their stupid home movie. I just couldn't stand watching these kids make home movies for the first hour of the movie. I kind of felt like taking a nap. The whole plot is explained and wrapped up in the last 25 minutes of the movie. So you wouldn't miss anything if your arrived very late to the theater. This movie has some ideas from "Close encounters, The Goonies, and ET" also a little bit of a bad "X-Files" episode thrown in. Don't wasted your money.
