the 4 phases of what guys and relationships are all about..
6 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
this is a nice film about the troubles of relationships guys have against women. this isn't your typical romantic comedy i don't think, because there are some powerful scenes including Zach Braff that really capture what a guy is really feeling/going through. the plot and acting were fair and everything else was pretty solid...i don't feel there is nothing you can be disappointed about since all the roles including the guys and women were pretty realistic and carried out well. This film was interestingly crafted, since all the characters i feel were given each problem that guys typically have, which was great. Overall if you are interested in what relationships are all about and want to find a cute movie between a guy and girl then this is pretty much it except it can be a little more mature since it involves marriage and babies. I recommend "Adventureland" for teenage romantic insight. A must see if your going through a relationship and want to know what its going to be like...for example, I was "Izzy" at one point..and now i'm a "Kenny" probably going to be a "Micheal" and in the end going to be a "Chris"

The Fighter (I) (2010)
8/10
BEAUTIFUL! never give up.
6 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
what a great film and outstanding performance by Bale. this movie while a bit similar to Cinderella Man and Million Dollar Baby meaning that it's about boxing and carries out the theme of fighting to be the best and a purpose, "The Fighter" goes beyond with the struggle of family dynamics, drug addiction, and never giving up and more. Wahlberg was also perfect for the role as Micky Ward, giving his bad boy past and "regret/grief" acting style, not to mention Dick Eklund as Bale...phenomenal. The history and documentation of the previous/and to come fights were pretty well done, but yeah i bet their is more they could have put in, but with the viewing of the "cocky" Eklund step over against Sugar Ray was all i needed! Overall a fantastic film that is a must watch, you will be blown away by a technical knockout.

my mom named me after Costner, am i the next serial killer?
6 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
this movie is great and very well shot in the view of the killer. it really captured how Costner battled with his alter ego and also gave us an inside on how serial killers work/elaborate their plans. solid acting and great atmosphere really felt like the audience was on the edge of their seat...now back to the acting, i did find Mr.Smith -Cook's- character rather ignorant and i didn't really see the point of the character being introduced in the script...it really messed it up, but still enjoyable. Overall if you are into watching the serial killers point of view with a couple of thrills and suspense you will be glad you saw this. I recommend watching the TV series "Dexter" since it carries out the same theme.

i need the anti-do-to...
5 January 2011
watching REC 2 made me realize how bad these directors and screen writers didn't want to make this sequel of REC 2 suck...meaning that it kinda felt like they were trying really hard to make a good sequel. the film turned out okay in the sense that it carried exactly from were REC finished and satisfied me with blood and jumping out of my seat scenes..but i really did't that much, also the demonic creatures, which we end up finding out about, thus creating the background story which wasn't very pleasing but fair. the camera view style was well done however the acting was a little over the top, sometimes i feel like hopping in the TV and telling them to shut up! Overall it did not surpass REC, but then again worth a watch if you want to see the story complete itself.

those kids need a spanking!
5 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
this film was OK all in all, it had solid acting, blood/gore was great, but it didn't really make me jump in suspense or anything. the whole story is kind of predictable but you can see past that due to the great atmosphere of running for your life in the woods. the other thing that really annoyed me through out the movie was that all of this mayhem was due to a bunch of kids. outnumbered or not i would lay them all down if i was the boyfriend, just goes to show you..nice guys finish last. Overall a pretty descent film that delivers on how to survive a bunch of reckless kids...not to mention the ending was pretty dull. worth a watch if you've seen all the good horror/thrillers out there already.

a low-budget amateur piece of dick cheese...
5 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
first off i could have made a better horror film. as i was watching and trying to enjoy it, it was failing on so many levels. the characters were so unlikable especially the annoying old mother, the try hard Shooter McGavin as the dad and that punk kid Richard. while you do get to see a bit of gore/blood and a little bit of suspense, i can't really say because i stopped watching it. This movie really dies quickly when the dark humor starts being adding in...such cheesy lines that made laugh at the movie not with it. and lets not forget that irritating scary music when they try and drive for safety...has they added the soundtrack to Halloween i would of gave this movie a 5/10. Overall a huge disappointment, if you want to see a horror/thriller movie like Silent Hill or Wolf Creek...this is not it, and if you really want some dark humor..your better off seeing Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland...what a waste of my time this movie was.

The Bank Job (2008)

another job like the Italian one. cheers!
4 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
this film is pretty well done from start to finish, it had great solid acting and good old British humor. it lacked action/guns and more fighting scenes like Statham mostly delivers in his films...given The Transporter and Crank, which was a bit disappointing and at times not at all serious. i also had no idea it was a true story in the beginning...Overall it is a pretty well FX bank robber movie that you can enjoy with chips and soda, if you happen to catch it on TV. not a bad watch, but then again we've seen it all already...Statham survives and gets the chick. *fills 10 line requirement* *fills 10 line requirement*

what a mind twister this is..what a mind twister this is
3 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
this film was pretty good and really captured the essence of mystery/thriller. it also managed to have some horror aspects given the masked killer and deranged out of the blue killings which was great. now when i say "really captured" meaning mystery thriller..you have to be paying attention really carefully. now of course given all mystery's there tends to be some unanswered questions about the film, especially when you watch it over and over again...yes some plot holes, low budget sea water computer animated waves and repetitive scenes...but it really should not bother you..especially after you get it. Overall if you enjoy thinking after a movie and trying to piece the puzzle until you have a solid picture...boy are you in for a loop!

a descent crime/drug adaption that currently rules our world today.
3 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
this film is your typical American couple getting in trouble with foreign police on a much needed adventure. while the film showed solid acting and a very great reasonable representation of what drug trafficking is like in the real world, it lacked an extra level of excitement and action..may seem kinda dull. what really won me over was how accurate this film is..be aware and don't talk to strangers, if anyone is getting on a train/flight or adventure. Overall a fun and drug/crime sort of movie to watch if the mood shall strike you..nothing lost if you decide to watch a comedy instead. *fills the 10 line requirement...

lovely. but Joel and Clementine do it better
3 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
this film is so foreign and different which was a plus if you are not like me and just want to watch a movie i can understand with out subtitles. the love moments in this movie are cute and make you think about your next coming moves and sparks of communication with a girl you like...good pointers. usually i just listen to music or have some alone time, Joel on the other hand from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind decided to wipe his memory clean which was the outcome of a very nice film..."The Science of Sleep" was a bit quirky having all those dreams come into reality which kind of got a bit too playful for the love movie. however if you want to see a movie like the relationship between Joel and Clementine, you will see that your ideas will be slightly met, don't get me wrong this film will be sure to get you thinking of that girl who got away because you did not know how to ask her how you felt and all the little things you say and do to attract a girl will represent itself in this film...but other lovers do it better. Overall a movie to see when your about to go to sleep and feel like you want to dream about the girl you like.

The Signal (2007)

a crazy trip! that leaves the helpless romantic thinking.
3 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
what a low budget science fiction mind tease thriller, while the intro was kind of slow and confusing at first, and when i mean low budget you see blood/gore and killing sprees without the extra effects...but no, "The Signal" delivers very well and the characters represent likable qualities that put you in there shoes, almost as if you where trying to survive these insane ravage people in a post-apocalyptic era. like all movies that link the characters in to one whole story, "The Signal" has episodes or in this case transmissions...each story has there own theme, which was cleverly done given each characters perspective on surviving. Overall from beginning to end it was a good must watch film that will be sure to please those psychological maniacs.

and this is why Jill Wagner says BIG RED BALLS!
2 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
very low budget horror flick...nothing special, but then again will satisfy with blood/gore and scary moments. not too mention its little here and there comic relief pauses...which i feel destroy the horror aspect given Paulo Costanzo "Road Trip" day's with Jill Wagner's Wipeout humor. this should be noted as scary not horror movie, i do not believe i even jumped for this one, let alone miss all the obvious clues leading to the outcome. nothing lost here if you decide to stop 10mins into the beginning because its hard to imagine its anything but scary, i almost gave-up..but went all the way and it was...not the best it can be. if you decide to watch something scary but not too scary, watch this with your girlfriend.
