Spiders are fun!
24 July 2006
This film was a welcomed return to the campy B-movie horrors of the days of old.

The CGI was good but clearly fake, like the FX of the old b-movies, the creatures always looked fake, that's part of the charm!

The cast play the parts with touhge well in check and David Arquette hams it up for laughs.

The comic horror is such that it reminded me of Kevin Bacon classic "Tremors". And that's not a bad thing at all.

I'd have to say this was a fun film watch, and one that never tries to take itself to serious.

Enjoy The Show!

Raimi Goes West
19 July 2006
This is a great story, a modern Western that's up there with Unforgiven.

A great cast, Hackman was great, Crowe and Stone did well in their roles, Leo was impressive & the supporting cast did a great job.

A straight forward revenge story, the Shootout Tournamant set the Sen nicely for the film to progress alone.

Sam Raimi shows his skills in the 'big seat' and marks the film with a few or his trademark skills.

If you liked the old westerns or a good, if straight going story, then give it a go.

Enjoy the show.

Living with the Dead (II) (2002)
A good TV movie
6 July 2006
This was a good TV movie.

It's based on a 'ture' story, but if you believe that or not doesn't really matter.

The story is slow paced and well told. The actors are fantastic in all the roles.

Danson's turn from comic to dramatic acting was great... you'd forget all about Sam & Becker... he IS James Van Praagh.

This movie is a lot more like Stir of Ecos as poised to the 6th sense... as it deals with an adults attempts to tackle his 'gift' and control his 'visions'.

I'd recommend you see it if you can.

Enjoy the show!

The Evil Dead (1981)
The Evil Dead: Best Horror Ever!
6 July 2006
This is the movie that as a young lad I loved to come home from school to smack in the VCR and kick back to, while the other brats on my street put on the cartoons.

The Evil Dead is a film that now as an adult, I take to leadership weekends and trips to show the teens and freak them out...

Hell, it made many of the fans of Bruce Campbell fans for life! I don't know one person who didn't like it.

Sam Raimi did a great job on the film and the ones that came after this. But, this one will always be the best.

If ya really wanna hail to the king, then this the film that on the throne.

Enjoy the show!

This What The Summer Needs
6 July 2006
This was a great film... had all you could ask for in a summer flick.

Comic moments, action, drama, a few twists too... and the best part of any film... leaving you wanting just a little more in a good way.

A lot of the cast is back in some way or other, the Davy Jones story is well thought out and is a worthy follow up to the "Curse of the Black Pearl".

The summer needs more big blockbusters that'll make you want to come back for more... this is on of the films that can do that, much like the Spider-Man films among a few others that have a big budget and prove that prove they are money well spent.

Take a few hours of of you day go see the film with the family and then come tell me i'm right, i never get tried of people telling me that.

Enjoy the show.

The Omen (2006)
666, The Devil's Mark

Ah, The Omen...

It was one of my top old horror flicks. It had suspense, scares, great music, great locations and great acting in it. A winner of a horror.

The new one was pretty damn good too. Suspense was there, the scares where there... lacked the chilling music, the acting was there for the most part too.

It is a faithful remake and a well made one at that... with the other films in the movies at the minute... you could find the Omen to be a welcomed change of pace for you.

Enjoy the show.

When The Man Comes Around
8 June 2006
What a great zombie, this was. This movie is proof that a REMAKE is not always a bad thing after all.

The new fast zombie add to the already freaky nature of a corpse coming at you intent on taking a chunk out of you.

The new mall is smaller than the one in the classic... this with great lighting make the film more claustrophobic.

The actors are great in this film too... with more people, and less running time they actors did well to carve out a good part for the film.

The Johnny Cash song "When the Man Comes Around" at opening credits of just how fast the world can fall apart was great.

Enjoy the show.

Poseidon (2006)
The Poseidon Misadventure
3 June 2006
Poseidon is an enjoyable film for what it is... Action & Adventue scenes lined up for about two hours.

I wan't expecting a fantastic story, I wanted good FX and lots of cool ways to see people get bumped off on a ship.

Poseidon is a great way to relax back and enjoy killing two hours of your summer, or if you are reading this after it's out on DVD rent it get a lot of coke (the drink) and popcorn and enjoy! The Actors did okay in the film, the sets worked, the FX where great, the ship getting hit with the wave was a trill.

I liked it, so might you!

Enjoy the show!

X3 is all Flaws & Claws
26 May 2006
I saw the movie tonight and I liked it for the most part.

It had some flaws, in the treatment of the X-Men. Cyclops, Angel, Rogue, and even the great Mystique is underused.

Cyclops is the first to feel it, shooting was done on Superman Returns so the actor was free too be in the movie more. A shame as the movie's end would have had more an impact if it was Cyclops in Logan's place.

This was Berry's fault, she wanted to lead the X-men to get more to do for Storm. Yet storms still does very little.

The new X-men are great, Kitty was fantastic, Angel was underused and had no real reason to be in the film. The best of the new blood was Beast.

The action was amazing if a bit rushed, the FX where great too. For all the flaws the film was great to sit back and chill watching the action rock on.

All the posters where saying take a side saying that the Brotherhood where not the bad guys... I have to say I started rooting for them after Jean returned.

Over all I'd give it a 8 out of 10 for the last half hour alone!

Enjoy the show!

American Crime (2004 Video)
Great film
10 September 2005
This is a great movie for what it is. The story I like, the docu-cam feel helps, RLC is in it and she's looking well, shame she's gone blonde.

The highlight of the film, and why I like it so much is Cary Elwes... his part in this was great, the comic relief of watching him lose it is fantastic, he does go over the top, but not as much as he did in Saw which, I liked him in.

No to give away any thing from the end, but I liked the fact that the whole film wasn't 100% explained... much better than a crazy yeah dumb twist like in Saw.

for a lighthearted horror with toned down gore and a peeping tom killer then give it a go. If not then rent out Red Eye that was also a great show.

Enjoy the show!

good game
3 August 2005
This game is good!

As a fan of the TV show and the Dodge Charger '69, I enjoy free roaming around Hazzard in the General, taking jumps and speeding shot cuts.

In some of the missions you get to drive other cars from the show, you can even walk about at some parts. But is' when Bo & Like are making their way, the only way they know how that this game picks up!

Most of the cast of the TV show are back... apart from the people who died or the guys who took over for Bo & Luke for a year in the show.

It's as close as I'll get to ever driving the General Lee, my dream car...

Enjoy the game!

Great for kids... Okay for adults.
14 June 2005
Now, It's a kids movie. and as such it has a lot to offer their target. Mad animals doing mad things in mad places.

For adults taking kids to the film, it's be worth sitting though once.

The cast do good with their 'voice acting'. They all suit the animals they are playing.

It's less than 90 minutes long, which is a perfect length for a film of this type.

Is it worth going to see?...

... Yes...

... If you have kids with you...

... And even if you don't!

Enjoy the show!

Saw (2004)
It was good.
9 October 2004
The film was good.

A lot of us headed to see saw and we all liked it.

Every time Danny Glover came on the screen i was waiting for him to say: "I'm too old for the s*it"

The acting the actor did was okay. I have no real gripe with anything on that end.

There was things i didn't like, but I would bomb the film or little nagging bits, I'll be fair.

So see it, it'll be a good night out with a bunch of mates, don't go on your own or with a date, it's best watch with a gang, you can talk about the twists as the come and who you think the bad guy is.

8/10

Enjoy the show!

A great film.

Great acting.

Great story.

Great twists.

Great... just plan great.

It's one to watch on DVD with a bunch of people who haven't seen it yet an see if you can solve the film. I got every twist from The Usual suspects to the Others and I did get this one.

I got some of it...

Doctor Who: The Five Doctors (1983)
Season 20, Episode 23
The Second Doctor Was Great
23 June 2003
Breaking the Timelords first law of time... five doctors in a deadly game...

This was a fun thing to watch, as a fan of the 2nd and 4th Docs I was gutted that Tom Backer turn the show down.

The Late and Great Patick Troughton was Great, it was like he never left the role as The Doctor...

I'd also note that the other Doctors do good jobs in this Classic tale. They ensure you are having a fun watch from start to finish.

With all the old baddies and a lot of the doctor's old sidekicks, this is a must see for all and any Doctor Who Fans.

Enjoy The Show.
