What a waste of starpower...
30 October 2011
Warning: Spoilers
It must have been a good deal of money to get these actors in this film. Not just because they are all famous and for the most part talented people, but because this script must have been as bad as the film. Al Pacino, Tatum, Liotta, Katie Holmes, and even Tracy Morgan (Who I felt did a good job in this small role, maybe establishing himself as a bit actor for serious films) all these people couldn't make this movie good. It was bad, just plain bad.

The plot was boring and really badly put together. The twists were just dull and unfounded. The "mystery voice" was pathetic, it was so obvious who was calling, I can't believe they tried to make it some mystery as to who it was. The end, was so disappointingly lame. There was little to no real action in it. Yeah there were a couple people killed but it wasn't any real action. No suspense was built throughout the film even at the points were a person was shot.

I cannot stress enough how bad this storyline was written. There was nothing good about it. The main character was supposed to care about these killings he committed when he was a child, but in reality he had nothing to worry about there was no evidence pointing to him having any part of it 15+ years later. If the story was brought out he could just deny his involvement and would be fine. That is a small example of how poorly written this was. A good cop thriller needs plausibility, that should go without saying.

I would not recommend this. I am strongly recommending against it actually. I am very disappointed. I seldom give anything less than five stars for any film that has some watchability, but with these actors, nothing of such bad quality should involve them. They definitely don't have to worry about making the rent so why would they sign on to such crap? Who knows. Anyway, all these other reviews, the ones that say this is anywhere near good stuff, don't know good movies. No one with sense could sit through this film and afterward say to oneself "I'm glad I watched that.". There is no payoff to watching this, unless you want to be angered and write a bad review about a movie. If that is the case this is your film!

not as bad as everyone has made it out to be
21 March 2011
I saw it with two of my little cousins and i was not looking forward to it atall after hearing how it bombed in box office and everyones reviews were really bad. It turns out I kinda liked it, the animation was very cool in 3D, which it must be seen in 3D or not nearly as cool.

It was simple family friendly entertainment, very vibrant and original with very creative digital technology behind it. It was fast paced and kept the kiddies smilin'. More than I was expecting definitely, and overrall not that bad, I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a film to bring some kids to. As a small bonus at the end they shows behind the scenes of how they filmed it with live action actors, very cool.

Childrens Hospital (2008–2016)

Hiiiilariousss!! Original, Goofy, Short and Sweet!

Children's Hospital is great fun, especially for those of us with short attention spans. The jokes come and go faster than you can laugh at them. Don't expect the next Sopranos, but be ready for something you haven't seen anything like. It is only ten to twelve minute episodes so how could you not give it a shot. It's satirical humor shot on the set of scrubs is of the best medical spoof comedy I have ever seen! All episodes can be found online, youtube for example, and is also now on demand. If you are into anything on Adult Swim definitely check out Children's Hospital it is one of the best shows they have put out thus far.....

Paul (2011)
7/10
Eh, worth watchin' but not anything exceptional....
19 March 2011
Shaun of the Dead and especially Hot Fuzz are two great movies. Hot Fuzz has great special effects with solid acting and a good script that is well directed, Paul is not lacking in special effects and Seth Rogen as Paul was enough to make it worth watching, but in other areas such as story and real laugh out loudedness it lacks. It is surelyyy no Superbad, so expect nothing more than a pretty entertaining, whacky good time. I would wait for DVD. I would have rather seen a number of the other movies in theaters now than spend the time and money on this one. I don't know what these people who LOVE IT and say RUN OUT AND SEE IT NOW OMGOMG are smoking, but I want some, it would've probably made this movie much better!
