How sweet..!
9 April 2004
After I had watched this movie I thought.. "How sweet to see an older couple falling in love like that on screen"! You may not understand what I mean by that but I'll explain.

I am pretty young (15 yrs. old) but mature to some my age! I love "love stories". And on average now you usually see the young/beautiful (in some ppl's opinions) people in love movies! And to see Diane & Jack play these roles.. and basically show that even when you are at that age how devine it is :) In my opinion I think Diane is beautiful also. My point is: I really enjoy seeing the older couples sometimes on screen... to know what my parents exactly go there & feel (but never tell me) like that. B/c that is

reality and truth -not just your young love, we don't stay young forever lol! But yes I know there are movies that have older couples, but they are usually just there. I mean on average movies most of the time excuse the fact that how much in love they still are (which I adore)... especially like this movie!

Alright on to the movie -I have read what people have been saying that Something's Gotta Give is predictable. Uhm well of course, I knew how it KINDA baselined to be from trailers also. But come on how many love stories do that?? They end up falling in love.. then have troubles.. at the end get together! A LOT. But to those who are reading this right now: IT IS NOT *ALL* PREDICTABLE!!

I love Keanu Reeves in this movie! He is very sweet and truly in love.. he was just right. I actually enjoyed him the best (besides Diane & Jack's love). Why you might ask? Hm.. let me just say Keanu played a better guy then Jack (him being a young ladies man/player).

But all in all I really liked it! At times (cus of its length) it may drag a little, but that is it's only faults. It has enough humor/love/sweetness, lol, to make it a great movie!! It all depends on your tastes too (I've heard from various ppl that mainly it's a married woman's type of movie). But anyone could like it I believe, so at your very least... you can rent it, hopefully then it'll be led to buying it :D

I give it a 8.5/10! *Alaina

Peter Pan (2003)

Come away to Neverland...
26 December 2003
Warning: Spoilers
I've had my expectations real high about this movie, since I knew about it. I checked up on it and it's now a 100 yr old classic tale. Then I bought the original book and read it.. absolutely loved it. Almost everyone watched the Disney version and always thinks of Disney when they hear PP, never cared about the Disney version really (e.i. Peter wore tights). The real version is so much better, and is a great tale I'll forever love.

Went on the opening day for the movie, X-Mas day, which was def. a very nice present! I first have to say this movie is the best version of Peter Pan, and will always be. Stayed very true to the book (with the few changes). I LOVED it. And it was better than my expectations. It is now my favorite movie.. Have to confess I'm an Orlando Bloom fan and like LOTR,POTC,etc. but Peter Pan topped all them and every other movie there is!! Yep even better than Return of the King. Really what captures me is the tale within PP that is 100 yrs old now... a lot people cherish that. It's a very loved classic.

Jeremy Sumpter stole my heart away and is the best PP!! Rachael is a great actress and very talently done for her 1st movie. I really liked the 'love' between Peter and Wendy. Absolutely perfect for each other! All the others had their own personal moments in the film that were great.

::SPOILERS:: Favorite scenes were: the dancing in the air, with the 'Fairy Dance' playing. Very beautiful! Then when Peter has given up and is lying down ready for death, he gives Wendy the sweetest look-And Wendy kisses Peter. Don't care what anyone says.. the love between them is right!::/SPOILERS::

All in all please go watch the movie if you haven't done so already! Don't let anyone's negative thoughts/comments stop you... be your own judge. I think you'll like it very much, if not love it!! Didn't let me down.. didn't drag. Given it a 10/10.

I do believe in fairies, I do, I do! Happy Holidays.

Dogfight (1991)

Must see
14 July 2003
I love this movie!! I think it's a really cute love story. It doesn't over do anything.. just perfectly set. River Phoenix plays his characters so well thought out and really gets into them. Lili Taylor is also playing a good part. The way River treats her (after the dogfight) in this movie I really adore! I think everyone should see this, you may just find a new favorite.

Absolutely worth watching
10 July 2003
I went on the premiere day, and been anxiously waiting to see this. I was not let down in any way.. it's everything and more than I wished for! Johnny Depp did play a great part in this movie. He was very pleasing to watch, and brought some laughs. Orlando Bloom was why I waited so much to see POTC. I couldn't wait to see him outside of the blonde wig as Legolas. Johnny and Orlando did great together!! I would definitely recommend this film to anyone who likes action, laughs, and attractive people.

Hopeless romantics
10 July 2003
AWTR would be my favorite romantic movie. I am one for tragedies, and this hits the spot. I think really anybody could fall in love with it. Mandy Moore actually can act, and did beautifully. She'll go far. Shane West is so adorable as Landon Carter! He made the movie. Now both of them together as a couple is perfect. Any hopeless romantics out there should watch this film...

Great summer movie
10 July 2003
I recently have gotten into River Phoenix and his works. This movie is my favorite of his, and is of my top ones. The whole friendship and summer vibe is great! I think anyone who likes 'Now and Then' (somewhat like a girls version of this film) would love this!! It's a great one to watch over and over during the summer.
