I watched this film in a theater that specialized in indie films. It's the first time I've seen that place packed in QUITE a long time. And there was already a line to see the next showing of it when I exited.
I thought the camera work fit the spirit of the film - even if it was a little tough getting used to at first.
Holly Hunter was awesome as "Mel" and I'm usually not a big fan of her work. But she completely aced this role. Considering the age difference, I thought she and Sisto worked as a couple and he brought a warmth and humor to the role of "Brady" that the film seriously needed.
Nikki Reed did a great job as the manipulative Evie. Evan Rachel Wood was nothing short of awesome, also, as Tracy.
I gave this film a 9 - taking the one point off for some of the grainy shots. I tend to simply prefer nice, tight, clear images.
I wasn't able to have kids...and after viewing this film, I think I'm glad.
