Getting Any? (1994)

MAN, I died laughing
4 August 2006
I don't ever recall writing a user comment for a film before, but considering some other comments here say it is garbage, I thought I would defend it. While this film CAN be considered garbage because it is so stupid and has some of the weirdest parts, you really have to watch this for what it is worth. This film is the single most funny movie I have ever seen in my life. If you can get over the fact at how slap stick and how unlikely it is, this is comic genius. There are so many references in this film also, to thinks like power rangers, road runner and coyote etc. It really is truly funny. This movie is so crazy you'll be on the floor dying of laughter, the comic timing is impeccable, the situations are insane and the outcomes are even more insane. This is the zaniest movie ever made. No it won't change your life, it wont enlighten you, but you WILL laugh.

TERRIBLE! who thought this up?
16 June 2004
This show is soooo bad, I never even cracked a smile in the two episodes I caught while channel surfing. I feel real sorry for whoever thought this show up, I feel sorry for whoever writes for it, I feel sorry for the kids that act in it because some of them actually want to be actors, and this is noooo way to get started. This and shows like Radioactive (about a highschool that seems to only have like 5 students and a couple teachers....might be trying to rip of Saved by the Bell) and other crap made for YTV is total garbage.

I don't even get how a show like this gets budget. WHO THINKS THIS CAN MAKE MONEY! The acting is terrible, I think I can probably act better than this.

Unrelenting but brilliant
13 September 2003
since no one has posted anything about this moive, I'll say a few words because I just saw this at the Toronto international Film fest. First of all this movie was really long, it was about 3hours, I could talk about it for hours and hours but I really dont feel like it now so i'll just say a bit. This is a lot like bowling for columbine, it starts of really fast, with awesome editing grabs your attention, then slows down a bit and goes into depth on an insanely wide array of aspects related to big corporations. Its like bowling for columbine because it has a good amount of Michael Moore in it, its extremely entertaining, but it's unlie bowling in the sense that its for smart people, there is no senseless bashing of the entity known as the corporation in this, they don't stretch the truth at all, and they dont "go after" anyone, especialy people that aren't responsible. This movie has a lot of interviews of authoriative people on the subject, such as: Mike Moore, Noam CHomsky, Noami Kline, and various presidents and CEO's of companies. Now this is a leftist documentary, but its only about 75% leftist, they do show the other side of the debate, and they do show the good bad guys. I definatley recommend it to anyone interested in environmental issues, media and advertising, the brand name, sweat shops, privatization, free trade, how we are killing of our own planet, products that harm us and we dont know it, basicaly it covers every perspective and every aspect of the corporations. I really hope this goes as mainstream as bowling did because it is far superior to bowling for columbine in many ways, and its just as funny in many moments. It was even funnier at the film fest because the makers of the movie made an introduction, and there was Q & A after, and they poitned out the fact the film fest itself was sponsored by corporations but they still appreciate the support, and also they are looking for a distributor which is also funny because it points out the irony that even if we hate corporations and we are against everything they are for, we still rely on them for A LOT, we will never get rid of the corporation because society relies on it to heavily, it is our biggest social institute.

10/10

if it does come out on dvd, watch it in 2 parts because you will get a little restless but its still interesting, i found myself wiggling in my seat but listening to every brilliant word.
