Bully (2001)
A hell of a movie
5 January 2004
I keep hearing that this is a 'River's edge" remake of the new era but thats not true. It's extremely different, and i must say this movie was excellent. Everything moved so smoothly and the flow is incredible and you get into it. Anyways the movie starts with two guys, marty, and bobby and they are working at some place and they see two girls and they ask them to chill and they do. So Marty gets with this girl,Lisa and his friend bobby gets with Ally. Anyways... marty and lisa like each other and they continue having sex and Lisa gets pregnant with his baby. Throughout the movie we see Bobby hitting Marty and treating him poorly and it takes an emotional toll on Marty. Ally, the girl Bobby got with earlier is back in the picture and he rapes her... this behavior ensues Lisa, Ally, Allys friends Donny, and heather, lisa's cousin derek and "the hitman" to kill bobby. This movie shows the toll it takes on them and the way everything plays out leading to the murder. This is an exquisite film I give it 9.5 out of 10.

Good in the beginning but as progresses it diminishes

Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers Involved:

I really enjoyed the beginning, it's fun watching movies about teens but the teenage years ended so abruptly... Suddenly he says The pranks continued for years and I gave Sedgewick C's and D's and then Kevin Kline has gray hair. I thought the transition was terrible and it became very idiotic, in the first hour it was a 9 and after that a 3. The whole thing about Bell having a rematch was ridiculous and the setting sucked and was nothing like the first. The theme of fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me was good... But that couldn't carry the second half of the movie. And I know it's the 70's but an Indian kid and a black kid at a prestigous prep school? That may not even be the case today... Lets be realistic... Kevin Kline was miscast in my opinion because he doesn't have the likable personality like Robin Williams. He also specializes in drama that makes you cry rather then drama that makes you think (Life as A house)I give this movie a 6.

Donnie Darko (2001)
So good!
20 September 2003
This movie has so many ideas its excellent. When I first heard of it, a kid who sees a bunny, I thought it looked really stupid but then I saw it during an all-nighter and it was so great! It goes through many things like life and death, protecting people you love, insanity, time travel, etc. Pay the 5 bucks to rent it, it is just an unbelieveable movie!

Brilliant movie

This movie was absolutely brilliant, Edward Norton shows his genius just as he has in his many past movies. The movie shows great growth from Edward Nortons character, I was just dissapointed by the ending, I thought it could have been better.

Playmakers (2003)
Better then expected
30 August 2003
It was a lot better then I thought, it was interesting, and it definately has a good plot. The characters are good, a bit overboard, but maybe the depiction of a pro football team is a lot more real then we think. Good entertainment, 4 out of 5 stars
