Abigail Haunting (2020)
Good try guys.
It might be fun to watch if your Canadian, otherwise I found it hard to get into "because you can take the Canadian out of Canada, but you can't take the Canada out of a Canadian".. some examples:
-A haunted trailer home
-Canadian accents slipping out left and right
-Strange demeanors, lingo, and odd reactions to things (i.e.-"...but, why?? Who does/says that??".. lol, Canadians do, I promise you.)
........strangest ending EVER... "strange" as in I had to ask myself why I was laughing, almost felt like satire. Although I'm sure it's a generally terrifying thought for Canadians; a single mom getting trapped in a cheap manufactured home, middle of nowhere in a desert (in the USA), with your mother's vengeful/bi-polar spirit.
I'll give it a generous 4.5/10.... slightly painful watch after the halfway point, but overall I can't really say it wasn't worth the dose of "Cana-weird" it provided.
The movie "Housebound" constantly came to mind while I was watching this (especially the last scene) but that movie embraced those more "moronic" traits scattered throughout...
I'd only watch this if you literally don't have anything better to do (there's nothing to lose in that case!) but I can't at all say anyone "shouldn't" watch it.... was a truly well done indie on many other lvls. It's kinda cool to see demographic and nationalities shine through in weird ways in film and other mediums.
