The Fireman (1916)
My First Impression Of Chaplin
I first saw this movie back in January of this year, around my high school's exam time.
I was stressed out, so I went looking for movies to watch on the Internet, and I came across this.
This was my first Chaplin film; indeed, this was my first silent film, and I must say it made a very good impression on me.
I'm more a fan of verbal comedy, but this was unexpectedly funny!
However, I thought the butt-kicking a bit incessant and found no humor in it.
Other than that, a hilarious film. I give it two thumbs up!
Rikki-Tikki-Tavi (1975)
Brings back memories
I remember watching this in the early '90s as a little girl. It would occasionally appear on Nickelodeon.
I had completely forgotten about it until several years ago, when I received The Jungle Book for Christmas.
With the book, I became reacquainted with "Rikki Tikki", as well as "The White Seal".
This was my first exposure to Rudyard Kipling, although I didn't know it at the time.
Because of this cartoon, and others, I became quite a fan of Kipling and still am to this day.
Wonderful movie that brings out the four-year-old in me.
Peter Pan (1953)
Brings back childhood memories
I first saw Peter Pan in 1990, when I was three. We still have our beat-up copy of it, and each time I watch it, it's like I'm reliving 1990-1991 all over again. Best time of my life. I truly believed in Neverland, and became enthralled with mermaids and pirates and the idea of never growing up. I now know that you can be an adult on the outside, but still be a child on the inside. I'm sixteen now, and I'm still four years old on the inside. This movie is a wonderful reminder of childhood.
