Man on Fire is a heartfelt drama/action that is about a bodyguard named Creasy(Denzel Washington) who spirit is rekindled by a little girl named Pita(Dakota Fanning)but when she is kidnapped he unleashes a one man war on all her kidnappers. I never really looked at Tony Scott's work prior to this but he did an amazing job in this film, every angle captures the setting beautifully and the action scenes are well choreographed. The acting is great, Denzel makes the movie hitting every emotion that is needed to drive the scene, Dakota hit the spot as Pita being bright,graceful and intelligent and Christopher Walken is as good as ever as Creasy's partner. On the flip side this movie ending is questionable(I won't ruin it but I felt it could have been done better)but it doesn't ruin the movie and is a decent ending. 8.5/10

The Good:First off,I didn't expect anything from this movie except good action but I got more than that.The acting is what I got and I have to admit it was pretty good,DMX believe it or not was actually acting in this film and made it believable as the father desperate to save his daughter,Gabrielle Union pulled it off as the sexy thief,Jet Li was also good as the undercover agent,and Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson were incredibly funny in this.The action was crazy in this film it was an adrenaline-pumping ride.

The Bad:The story was good for 2/3 of the film but then the last third turned into a saving the world type of plot,it makes no sense whatsoever then there is the villain who is not intimidating but he is one hell of a fighter,and the music may please those who listen to rap but it won't appeal to everybody.I also like when a movie is based on reality but in this movie everyone is flying doing two kicks in the air but then again this is a movie.

Overall:This a good action flick that is worth seeing if you can suspend your beliefs and leave your brain at the door.

What Worked: The transporter is a action film which delivers what it promises, non-stop action sequences. The action of this film is truly exciting, Jason Statham truly is bad ass as Frank Martin a.k.a. The mysterious Transporter, Jason shows some potential as he not only can act but his body movement is incredible, I'll even say he can rival Jet Li in terms of fighting. The action scenes have to seen to believe, not only are they ridiculously funny, they are well choreographed(which was done by the film director Corey Yuen)They're arguably the best fight scenes since "The Matrix" and they don't rely on wires in every scene.

What Didn't Work: Let's face it, there is no plot in this film, NONE, and the character played by Shu Qi gets rather annoying every now and then. Plus the scenes of romance are very cheesy and unbelievable.

Overall: This is a film for people who can leave there brain at the door and expect a great martial art movie, 8/10

What worked: Romeo Must Die is a good action film which displays the acting talents of each of its stars and newcomers like Anthony Anderson whose career looks promising, But Aaliyah actually is good as Trish O Day she almost made me cry a couple of times,u actually connect with her character, and Jet Li injects some emotion to his character,coming off as lovable but furious(especially when he fights!) This movie unlike most other action films actually tries to develop a story and even though it is somewhat predictable it's still watchable but the second half of the movie is when it actually gets better,the action is well choreographed. And the music is possibly the best soundtrack that I've heard that blends orchestral music with a hip-hop and r&b soundtrack.

What didn't work: The story is too predictable and it outweighs the story making the film seem stretch a bit too long. The romance between Li's and Aaliyah's characters is more hinted at than actually developed,the character tend to flirt more than develop a full fledged romance. And everyone in this movie flying doing two kicks in the air, now I like films that have wire-work but this movie pushed it at times.

This movie has good acting,good action,and is a good movie overall, just suspend your belief a little. 8/10
