Toto & De Funes together
26 January 2004
"Un Coup Fumant" 1958 is the french title. The actor who dubs Toto in french version is Very Very bad. He has strong french southern (Marseille) accent. His voice is very unpleasant and I am french. it's so awfull.

a look only for Ustinov or Joe Dassin fan
10 January 2004
Only if you want to see Peter Ustinov in 1964 or Joseph (Joe) Dassin (pop singer in France).

The movie is too slowwwww ... tooooo long .... 2h ....

and the robbery plan is ridiculous in many points. Mercouri as "femme fatale" is very far from being credible.

Coffee service in train

Manfredi stars in this top-notch Italian comedy about a charming flim-flam man's attempts to aid his ailing son, outwitting the dim-witted police in the process. A lovable, compassionate portrait by Italy's most inventive comedy director, Nanni Loy.

My vote: 9/10

Good comedy with Sordi
7 December 2003
During this african war of 1941, Alberto Sordi (italian captain) fights against David Niven (British major). This comedy is for fraternity and against stupid wars like many... The script is good. Sordi is excelent as usual but his opponent Niven is a sub-category actor. With a better british actor, I'll give 9. My vote: 8

Excellent french comedy with Darry Cowl
4 September 2003
This movie is a good french comedy which began Darry Cowl career. Darry Cowl did a great show in this burlesque comedy. You must see the French version for his stuttering accent. my note: 9/10

20 funny episodes

For me it's difficult to speak about this great comedy. it's very funny with sometimes black humour. There is also a good psychological analysis of italian society. Dino Risi with "I Mostri" & "I Nuovi Monstri" do an excelent job. Gassman and Tognazi are exceptional.

My advice: - If you have seen the movie, see it again and if you haven't you must try to find it.
