Mob Psycho 100 (2016)
Mob Psycho 100 is a very good anime.
Anime directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa (Who has experience directing episodes of Bleach, Attact on Titan, Kill the Kill among others) and based on the manga of the same name created by ONE, also creator of the manga One-Punch Man. This anime has the successful and typical Shonen ingredients.
Shigeo, a child who starts school with a great psychic power, who seems to be cheated by his teacher, Reigen and a spirit, Hoyuelo, which seems to be the common sense of the group, will be involved in a series of adventures that may define the destiny of humanity.
His animation is superb, especially in the combats. The story begins slowly, contextualizing the characters, but then shows us that his narrative universe is broad. The anime looks like its "brother" One-Punch, but it has enough strength to be different and to enjoy itself.
It is worth mentioning his great soundtrack (Kenji Kawai) and they will have a great dialogue with the scenes, especially with "Explosion of Mob Feelings".
In short, a great example of the genre.
Keppeki danshi! Aoyama-kun (2017)
Good anime, but
From Taku Sakamoto's manga, directed by Kazuya Ichikawa, the anime Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun is good.
The first thing that stood out from the anime is its animation: clean, colorful, which stands out from the same opening, until the ending, I make a special mention to Takuma Kaneko's ending, for his parody and classic tribute to sports anime of the past, much nostalgia that has brought me more than a smile.
In football matches you can see the good work of the animators, and it is a pity that you do not see much of this. In that sense that is why I put seven stars. In fact, since the anime opens, the shows figure football as the center of animation but actually, with an exception of a couple of episodes, sport is an accessory. In that sense, you feel some uneasiness.
Now, I'm not following the manga, so I write these lines for the 12 chapters seen and not for the unseen.
Fun: yes, it is; entertaining, yes, it is, and I expect further development, a well-achieved animation. Intertextual jokes with "The Scream" by Munch and "The Great Wave" by Hokusai are also appreciated, the idea of using art references and "lowering" them to humor was well achieved, and it may have been Gotou Midori's idea (Script and composition) or already included in the manga itself.
A story that is not new (although there are those who claim that everything has already been said), but that takes interesting tints because of Aoyama's condition. A show with the potential to be better.
Blade Runner: Black Out 2022 (2017)
more human than human
"Life does not mean living." Shin'ichirō Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) in writing and direction; Shūkō Murase (Ergo Proxy) in character design; and Paul Chadeisson (Remember Me - video game) in art, makes these minutes a truly human story. A piece of animation that not only contributes to the universe Blade Runner, but also takes it further, transmitting a great empathy in the struggle to live in the world. All of this in the style that only anime can achieve.
Sakamoto desu ga? (2016)
Perfection was never so fun
Sakamoto is perfect, that is, tasks, work, loyalty, vision, etiquette, sports, etc. If you know how to do something well, Sakamoto will make it perfect. And under that scoop, every day at school is a day of adventure with Sakamoto. A very funny anime, one to hang out. It is nothing transcendental, but still after days, it makes you remember certain passages. That's Sakamoto.
Seikaisuru Kado (2017)
A very good series that could have been a masterpiece
A well-known theme but still not so exploited, is the idea of the visit of a higher entity in all, or almost all aspects. Think of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951 and its remake in 2008).
This event triggers the otherness, that is, the confrontation with the other and therefore the comparison of what is, what is not, and what can be. Kado exploits it. The trope of the benevolent alien invasion triggers many narrative elements that would need more lines for its development, such as: good and evil, progress, media and society, the role of politics, and so on.
A recommended series if you like science fiction and the moral debates that it awakens.
