Red Dog: True Blue (2016)
Good until it was sad
Animal abandonment hits me hard.
I did not see the first movie and I do not know the story about this dog.
I was lured in by the description. Boy finds scruffy dirty puppy that later becomes a legend.
I waited all movie to find out when the legend part was going to happen only to see a broken hearted dog chasing the helicopter the boy was in as he left to live with his mom.
The boy who is now a man with his own family narrates the story.
As the movie ends he reveals that he never seen his dog again. Which means the dog wandered for the rest of his life looking for the boy and was never reunited.
Meanwhile the boy grew up and had a fulfilled life. Lots of great education, fell in love, got a great job and had his own children.
The first movie of Red Dog tells more of the adventures of the Red dog which shows him helping people. Yet the dog searched for his boy until he died.
ShΓ΄gun (2024)
Worth watching but some goofiness
From the start of the show there was some silly or goofy bad decisions.
Such as putting blue contacts in the eyes of the actor that plays John Blackthorn. It makes him look like an alien or mermaid.
I don't know if it's the actor or the directing but John Blackthorn is portrayed at a big goof. They made John into a fumbling fool. He is similar to Kelso from That 70s Show.
This seems to be a story about one man's good luck. Actually it's more like great luck that never runs out.
John Blackthorn doesn't earn anything. It seems as if this Mr Magoo like character stumbles into good fortune no matter how much he messes up.
Shooter (2016)
Good show but.........
The first season was good. It followed the same storyline as the movie.
The second season got a little silly because every problem was solved by setting up a sniper nest.
The wife and her sister are weak links and it gets irritating. They are stubborn, uncooperative and fall for every trap. It gets to be too much. Seriously! They sabotage everything. Just when you think they can't screw up anymore they top themselves with another major screw up. π
The second season is more of the wife screwing things up. She can't stop herself. She is stubborn and uncooperative. All she has to do is stay safe while her husband fights for his life and she can't do it.
They should make movies where the wife holds her husband's arms behind him while the bad guys hit him. Why bother adding a story to it?
Terror on the Prairie (2022)
Frustrating
The entire movie is like being in a fight with your hands tied behind your back.
That sentence says it all. Everything I write after this doesn't matter.
City people move to the country and don't know how to survive without a grocery store, running water, police protection, or the government providing for them.
The moral of the story is city people are incompetent and they like to go camping. As long as it is at a campground with restrooms and shower stalls.
It might be better to cheer for the bad guys from now on. If people are this stupid then maybe they should be purged.
Stupidity and more stupidity.
The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
Irritating!
No matter how many times I watch this I end up yelling at the tv.
These people are completely clueless.
This movie is probably closer to reality than I want to believe when it comes to the stupidity of people.
They are not prepared for anything. They make excuses for everything instead of thinking how abnormal the situation is.
I wanted to smack the mouth off of the scrawny weakling brother the entire movie.
The older sister's husband is a cuckhold. He reminds me of meathead Rob Reiner.
The mother is a zombie.
The two attractive sisters are the only good part of this movie.
This family's stupidity is off the charts.
The Survivalist (2021)
This would have been good without the irritating crazy woman
There are some A list actors in this movie. Yet for some reason they give the crazy woman a huge part in this movie.
There are a group of men trying to capture a girl whose blood may be the cure for a virus.
For some reason they don't approach the situation like doctors trying to save the world. Instead they are a gang of murderers killing anyone who gets in their way.
The crazy woman who looks like a witch is the one barking orders and threatening her fellow gang members.
I have a hard time believing the crazy female is the leader in a world absent of police and laws. The woke stuff gets to be too much.
Vikings: The Last Act (2020)
Disappointed
The woke stuff bothers me. The English Queen counseling the King of England on how to handle the Vikings. Then the English Queen was on the battlefield overseeing the battlefield negotiations between the King and the Vikings. Seriously? There was no human resources back then for women to complain to when they felt slighted or weren't getting equal rights. In Kattegat a slave becomes queen in a time when anyone can challenge her to single combat and take the throne from her. We are talking about a time of medieval barbarians. The strongest conquered and ruled. Yet women are running things? Sorry people, not real.
Grimcutty (2022)
Yuk. Entitled teenage girl.
Another irritating movie.
Let's start with an entitled teenage girl that has no respect for her parents that try to protect her.
Then let's add that the same entitled teenager runs around like Nancy Drew pretending to solve crimes but in reality makes everything worse.
Now we will add the unreal nonsense that a teenager that supposedly tried to commit suicide could walk out of a hospital. No 72 hour hold. No locked psychiatric ward. Then the teenager breaks and enters into a person's home and runs her mouth at the adult homeowner as if the entitled teenage girl had every right to be there. At which point the entitled teenager's mother shows up. Instead of dragging her daughter out of the house by her hair the mother runs around the house doing whatever she wants.
Oh and before I forget, the entitled teenage girl walked out of school and went to a house party in the middle of the day. Is that a thing now? Kids can go to school when they feel like it.
I have stopped rooting for people to survive in these movies. It is more satisfying when people get what they deserve. Some movies have come through and ended the annoying character. Not this one.
Jeepers Creepers: Reborn (2022)
Horrible!
It starts off with two horror movie legends. Dee Wallace and Gary Graham.
Then it flushes the movie down the toilet.
The actors can't act. The director didn't help the actors at all.
No movie magic in this one. Even Jeepers Creeper's head looked too big for his body. It reminded me of Jim Carey in "the Mask".
The movie was goofy as soon as the first scene was over.
I wanted to shut it off after the first 5 minutes. I kept watching it hoping everyone of these crappy actors would die.
I guess you will have to watch it to see for yourself. There hasn't been any great movies in a long time. So we are stuck with this nonsense.
Fall (2022)
Cheap thrills yet full of stupidity
Even people that have never been climbing will notice all of the stupidity.
Both girls are supposed to be "experienced" climbers yet panic and scream like little girls do whenever something bad happens. They have no idea how to solve their problems. Every decision is ridiculous.
It had to be on purpose that these two had to be stupid to create the thrills.
I found myself asking "why" throughout the entire movie. As in, why would they climb up there? And why don't they have the proper equipment? And why don't they know how to climb a pole or tree?
Last thing is We are supposed to believe these two girls have the super strength of a gorilla. π
The Hunting (2021)
Ridiculous
This was worse than a B rated movie. The acting was horrible. This reminded me of the quality of the original "Last house on the Left" or a 1960's porno.
The Blacklist: The Conglomerate (No. 142) (2022)
Agent Keen, Agent Keen, Agent Keen......
Every episode is about Agent Keen. An attractive white girl with a sheltered life and zero accomplishments not only gets elevated to her own FBI team because she is related to a super spy but somehow because of her DNA inherits the knowledge of being a super spy as if she downloaded it from the Matrix. π Isn't it wonderful how special this girl is who has zero accomplishments of her own. She is so special that no one can move on after her death. Every episode is about how Agent Keen effected everyone's lives. We need more sassy ungrateful white girls being the glue that holds everyone together.
No Exit (2022)
Too much stupidity
This is a story about a girl that can't make a right decision to save her life. Literally! It gets irritating to the point of giving up and shutting the movie off.
I gave this 5 stars because I watched the entire movie to see if the irritating drug addict died. There were several scenes when I thought "finally good ridden" only to get irritated more by her bad decisions.
Vikings: Valhalla: The Greenlanders (2022)
Another show gone "woke"
A region of our planet that to this day is still 98% white for some reason had "a powerful black woman" as their leader. π Everything "netflix" has jumped off of the woke cliff. It doesn't make sense trying to force woke ideas into historical shows. Women did not lead armies. Women did not tell kings how to run the country. I'm sorry but women didn't have the right to vote in Norway until 1913. The most feminine of males are dominating female sports right now in 2022.
Lost in Space (2018)
Irritating
This show is woke on steroids. From the wife always needing to be superior to the 18 year old black daughter that is a doctor to Dr Smith being female this show is all about girl power and the rest of the story is just a filler. I made it through almost 4 episodes before I gave up on it. I was hoping to see a remake of "Lost in Space". This wasn't it. There is no storyline. It's just women being sneaky, women being superior, women being bossy & sassy, women having emotional breakdowns, women beating trans boys at being the bigger victim.
The Haunting in Connecticut (2009)
Horrible
I saw Virginia Madson and thought it would be good. Nope. I think it was the directing that made it bad. An axe wielding guy is chopping down the front door then the camera pans around to a girl just standing there as if waiting for her cue to do something. Then the mother casually walks through the house as if she has all day. No urgency. Finds her son just standing there waiting for his cue to do something. As she tries to get him to go with her he fights with her until the axe man is on top of them. π There is no sense to any of the scenes. It's an acid trip start to finish.
The Blacklist: Between Sleep and Awake (2022)
The show is dying
We have seen this before. A show gets lucky to have all of the pieces fall into place such as having the right actors playing the right characters to create that magnetic chemistry that draws people in to watch. Then.......an actor or 2 leave the show or the writers "jump the shark". The show might survive a few more seasons but the end is inevitable after the chemistry is gone. Losing Brian Dennehy and Clark Middleton hurt the show. Mozhan MarnΓ² leaving hurt the show. The "woke" twists have hurt the show. Kate cleaning out Reddington was ridiculous and hurt the show. Last but not least the "Elizabeth" story line hurt the show. Elizabeth was a naive little girl that got a huge boost in her FBI career because of Reddington. She was handed cases on silver platters and protected by Reddington. She got to run around and play cops and robbers because of Reddington. Then she stabbed Reddington in the back every time she could. She never missed an opportunity to treat Reddington like worthless scum. Yet It looks like they are setting up the return of Elizabeth from the grave.....again.π
The Blacklist: Mr. Solomon (No. 32): Conclusion (2016)
Elizabeth is an ungrateful and entitled hypocrite
Episode after episode we watch Reddington try to have a relationship with Elizabeth. When everyone else has turned their backs on Elizabeth it is Reddington that is there for her. Reddington is always there for her. He is there to catch her when she is falling and never lets her fail. Yet Elizabeth forgets all of these things Reddington has done for her and turns on him in a blink of an eye. She is a cold and manipulative narcissist.
The Blacklist: Nachalo (2021)
Oh boy? How dense is Elizabeth?
I think everyone had guessed Raymond is Lizzy's mother before this episode. Then this episode explained it in full detail yet Elizabeth is still clueless.
To everyone who doesn't like people hating Elizabeth you need to accept we have good reasons to hate her and the writers for making her so clueless, ungrateful, smug, entitled and self righteous.
The Blacklist: Elizabeth Keen (No. 1) (2021)
Now they have Elizabeth dressed up like a burglar
This is getting silly.
Elizabeth is running around like she is an experienced bad guy. Dressed up in all black with a black hat as if she is a 1960's burglar from the Batman tv show. What's even more ridiculous is Elizabeth calling all of Red's contacts who he has had long relationships with to get them to turn on Red and join her new criminal enterprise. Ya! Let's throw away the proven meal ticket to join a spiteful little girl throwing a tantrum. Please!
The Blacklist: 16 Ounces (2021)
I really can't tolerate Smug dimwitted emotional Elizabeth
Spader has made Reddington into a great character. He is a super spy/super criminal/ world leader/ illuminati type yet has the personality of a goofy grandfather that appreciates everything life offers.
Elizabeth is an emotional dimwit that gets her butt kicked over and over by criminals. She has not subdued one criminal. The criminal always gets away yet she is smug as if she is smarter than everyone else. If it wasn't for everyone protecting her she would've been gone long time ago.
The Blacklist: Katarina Rostova (No. 3): Conclusion (2020)
ELIZABETH!!!!
Elizabeth can't stop running her mouth. Every time someone tries to explain anything to her she cuts them off and over talks them. No one can get a word out.
Every time anyone tries to talk to her she goes off with the "I know about this and I know about that" yet she is wrong about everything. Elizabeth is the epitome of Gen z and millennials all wrapped up in one person. Go on social media and they are loaded with big mouth little girls with zero life experience telling everyone how much they think they know. Yuk.
The Blacklist: The Kazanjian Brothers (No. 156/157) (2020)
Awful
At the end of this ridiculous mess all of the "woke" writers, make up artists, wardrobe people, etc., show their faces to wish everyone well during covid.
The Elizabeth character makes zero sense. She is the epitome of the woke generation making this show. She is ungrateful, hypocritical, self righteous, and entitled. Everything Gen z and millennials are known for.
The Blacklist: The Hawaladar (No. 162) (2019)
The new agent is irritating
The show added a new FBI agent. This agent is obviously a "woke" addition. What I don't understand is why this agent thinks she is in charge. She is the rookie. She is an addition to a task force that has been successfully operating for years. She brings nothing to the table yet runs her mouth like the task force needs her to function. At one point she questions the FBI Director with "what are we getting involved with?" Hello? New girl, the task force has already been involved. You are the new person. There is no "we". Leave if you don't like it.
The Blacklist: Minister D (No. 99) (2019)
I can't tolerate anymore of Lizzy's nonsense
Elizabeth is supposed to be a FBI profiler yet has zero ability to be perceptive. How clueless are the writers? A DNA test was done between Elizabeth and the living Red yet still thinks in her delusional head that the test was done between her and the bones that she didn't know the DNA results of until well after.
