Atlas (2024)
Surprisingly great with a fantastic performance by J. Lo
In a world where hating J. Lo is more common than ever, this movie deserves a chance. Sure the CGI is overdone and similar stories have been presented before, but the movie is certainly entertaining. I agree with other reviewers who stated the movie starts a bit slow but it really gets going after that and keeps you gripped to the screen. Nice performances by Simu along with a few other supporting characters as well. I'd highly recommend going into this one with an open mind ready to be entertained and don't be discouraged by negative press about both the movie and its biggest star. When will people realize Jennifer really *can* act?
Weakest Link (2020)
The best of all the recent game show reboots
Obviously some of the reviewers are not familiar with the nature of the show. Jane's snarky comments and dry humor are inspired by the original version and are done humorously, not to belittle anyone. Lighten up.
This is easily the best out of all the recent game show reboots and it's not even close. Most of them have been dreadful and legitimately unwatchable. The Weakest Link is the only one that I actually get excited to watch and hearing that its renewed for Season 2 is even more exciting! Can't wait for this to come back.
My only gripe: I hate seeing some of the smartest people being voted out before the final round! Almost makes me wish they would change the rules but I understand it's part of the strategy.
10 Items or Less (2006)
An underrated and forgotten comedy that got better as it went on
Just finishing up this show, and I have to say I'm really impressed. I'm disappointed it ended after just 3 seasons, but it had to be expected I suppose. I think the final season is actually the best as it contains some of the series' best episodes ("Turkey Bowling," "Star Trok," and "The Milk Man" are all TV gold).
John Lehr is a comedic genius as store manager Leslie Pool and the supporting cast holds up really well. The situations they find themselves in are both wacky and hilarious.
I guess this type of humor isn't for everyone, but for me it made the show memorable.
