I saw the original movie "Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima" - I've read a lot about this event over the years. This new movie's cinematography was good. Some things were left out of the original story...the threat from the authorities to boil the kids in oil if they did not tell the truth, what happened to the apparition for September? (never shown in this movie). Also - the ending - the miracle of the sun was shown as just a bright shining sun giving off a few colors and did not appear "dramatic" at all. Historical documentation show that people saw the sun "dance in a zig zag" pattern and move all around while shining off a magnitude of colors over everyone and the landscape. There were also miraculous healings directly after the miracle that this movie also did not depict. For these reasons, I give the film a 5 out of 10. I enjoyed the original 1950's movie better.

Don't listen to the positive reviewers that say "don't listen to the negative reviews"! There are negative reviews on this movie for a reason. This is a very mediocre film with some major flaws. There are also scenes that make no sense. For this reason, I'm giving it only a 4 out of 10.

Trailer was better than the movie. I want those 2 hours of my life back.

This movie is so well done...so entertaining...so funny and warm all at the same time, I can't understand any negative reviews about this film. I guess I have to understand that even the best films, sometimes people are going to criticize. But I will say this is one of the best comedies ever put to screen. Every time I watch it, I can't help but laugh histerically, and yet get sad at certain points all at the same time. It brings out a lot and a lot of children can relate and it may even help them when their parents are having the same type of problems. A must see for anyone. I couldn't want to add this to my collection. Go Chris!!!! I think the restaurant scene is one of the funniest scenes in the movie, but there are so many funny funny scenes that I give this movie a 10.

I bought this movie I liked it so much. I think the characters did a great job, and Rebecca Demornay (I know I spelled that wrong) did a superior job. Very evil. I agree, at some point you would think this family would realize this woman was a bad apple, but the suspense of things kept me from downing the movie. I still watch it occasionally today...I wish there would be more movies this good.
