A masterpiece from NBC.
17 March 2019
Nuri Bilge Ceylan's most differentiated film. The story of three generations with son, father and grandfather. Humor, philosophy, character development, great cinematography, acting and story. The selection of the players is interesting and brave, adding a lot to filming. Only Nuri Bilge Ceylan could do this as a great master! Unlike the other films of the director, the dialogue in this film is at the forefront and the diversity, naturalness and depth of the dialogues are impressive. Thank you Ceylan for offering us such great movies!

Very human, very good!

One of the loveliest shows of the recent times. All the cast fits perfectly. I felt real life and humor in it. Well done! I wish it was 13 parts for the first season. Waiting next season now.

A Very Real Film
4 September 2018
Repetitive? Yes, definately! Because being kidnapped for 3096 days is something repetitive. If you expect Hollywood dramatizations, no, this is not that film. This film looks very simple at the surface, but deep inside holds very good character development and feelings. Acting is superior, the small actress as Natasha surprises with her performance. Older Natasha is also acted very well. But the real star is the director, creating a simple bir very impressive movie.

Very shallow and disappointing.

Warning: Spoilers
I am surprised by this title while I am watching it on TV and thanked myself not going in the theater before. It is very shallow and one- sided view of the war. Is it necessary to kill a woman/child to stop him using a bomb or rocket? Can't you just fire some warning bullets around them for scaring? It is much more like a recruitment film for the US Army: "Every patriot American go abroad for protecting US interests and kill anybody, even the children". Also add some emotional (but shallow) drama it. Was it that? What is the morale of the movie?

The film is also very far from making an emotional contact with the viewer. The dialogs aren't well developed.

One of the worst war movies of American cinema history and Clint Eastwood in my view.
