North by Northwest (1959)
Really good but...
Exciting and well done however at the beginning Cary Grant's character was so stupid. I mean really, grabbing the knife out of the man's back in front of a full room of people leaving fingerprints and then standing with it as his picture is taken. Come on.
Joker (2019)
No redeeming qualities
Yes we live in a violent and out of control world filled with inconsiderate people. Did this film do anything to improve that? No. So what was the point.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To Whom It May Concern (2014)
Moving
Hallmark makes so many shows that are schmaltzy. This one is a cut above. It's message is moving and shows us how one act of goodness can have a far reaching ripple effect. This Made me cry.
Evil (2019)
Nothing is ever resolved
I have an issue with shows that continuously open new story lines without ever resolving past story lines. Leads to an unsatisfactory experience.
Unhinged (2020)
Sick but true
A horrible movie that rings of truth. A violent world filled with crazy people. We truly live in a hell on earth.
The Vanished (2020)
So so
Would have been better without Anne Heche. She is the worst actress.
Thunder Force (2021)
Needs Editing
Funny moments and entertaining premise but too much silly bantering. Remove some of that and you would have a better result.
The Sinner (2017)
Intriguing
Intriguing but moves way too slow. Almost to the point of being painful to the viewer. Combine the slow pace with the stoic performances and frustration sets in
Tales of the City (2019)
Stick with the original
Armisted Maupin wrote excellent books about the later lives of hisTales of the City characters. This series changes all of those stories. Why? Brian was married to Wren, who was an ex large model, not a chiropractor. Jake worked with Michael. Michael and Ben were married and had a bungalow. Anna has already sold the house on Barbary Lane. None of this new series used any of that. Disappointed!
