Miracle (2004)
Excellent trip back...
Kurt Russell performed brilliantly as Herb Brooks. I didn't mind the low coverage of the gold medal game cuz the game against the Soviets was 'the game'. And as Al Michaels says in the final seconds against the Soviets, that game WAS the 'Miracle'. I didn't realize just how much of the movie would be centered before the Olympics and Brooks' training techniques...that was interesting to see, especially with them starting out with him trying to get the job. Too bad Brooks missed the movie, even though he lived it. He will definitely be missed!
Family Ties (1982)
When is it comin on video?!?!?
This was an excellent series and I've loved watching the reruns on Nick-at-Nite. However now that I'm traveling abroad for work I don't get Nickelodeon anymore and can only hope they bring the series out on video so I can purchase it. Michael J. Fox is one of the best comedians in my lifetime. I enjoy watching everything he has done and am still rooting for him to make a comeback!
Follow That Dream (1962)
This is my favorite Elvis movie!
Most of his movies I've seen seem to be an excuse to have him sing songs. However, this one has a plot and good acting. It's a lighthearted story that is a joy to watch each time I see it. The comedy is great. Elvis' portrayal of Toby is SUBERB!! Even knowing the jokes that are coming I can't help but laugh because they are done so well. I prefer this movie over any other he made.
Who's the Boss? (1984)
what a great show!
My first thought when thinking about "Who's the Boss?" is: WHEN IS IT COMING OUT ON DVD?!?!?!?!?!? This show was great. I grew up watching it and had a crush on Alyssa the whole time. Tony Danza played Tony Micelli perfectly. I can't imagine anyone else in the role! And Mona....goodness did she ever have my sides hurting with her quick-witted comments!!!
Wings (1990)
"Wings" was Excellent!
I love this show and miss it dearly. I know Nick-at-Night shows reruns but now that my job has me out of the country I don't have access to them :o( I'm waiting impatiently for the seasons to be put on DVD!!! The whole cast had such chemistry it was amazing. The character Lowell was played excellently and written so well. It was really sad to see Thomas Hayden Church leave the series. Tim Daly and Steven Weber played the 2 brothers perfectly. Nonstop laughs and good times all around.
