What is the absolute best movie? To me it is Heat, Michael Mann. Best...ever. So, that some up where I am coming from and my likes.
The 90's saw me watching every Indie movie that came out. Now, anything that takes me away for a few.
I've got my first credit; Associate Producer of Clown Motel (2016) short!

Cobra Kai (2018)
10+ PAy the $9.99 for YouTubeRed!!!
I can't say how much I dig this show! I grew up in the 80's and this show is directed towards my generation AND every one since then. It really hooks you in the first episode and you end up paying the $9.99 for YouTubeRED (FYI...WORTH IT!!!!). The show is well produced; not cheesy at all, i.e. it is professionally made. It is a pleasure (yeah, I'm using my 45 year old vocab) to see William Zabka and Ralph Macchio reprise the roles. No spoilers but you feel for both characters. I'm on episode 5 and not sure what I'm going to do after the 10 are over!
24 Hours to Live (2017)
Where did this movie come from? A+
I am an old school straight to VCR or DVD kind of guy. I like movies with action and plot; this one had both, including twists. I dig the tactics, even though a bit over the top here and there, but really good. It is worth a "stream" or "rent". Ethan Hawke is real good in it, likeable. I also dig that Rutger Hauer is back, perhaps he is acting as a retired Nick Randall from Wanted: Dead or Alive (1987).
A.P. Bio (2018)
Sympathy
After 3 episodes I'm having a tough time liking "Jack". He's just not likeable YET! I'm holding out hope that he is going to get into the swing of things. It kinda reminds me of Kevin (probably) Saves the World. Except Kevin is likeable. I'll still watch though. The cast is stellar, production team is top notch.
So, where does the story go next? Will Jack become likeable? I think so, he's on the way. Just needs a bit of prodding from the writing and producing team.
Black Site Delta (2017)
Why a 10???!! I'll tell you why
This movie takes me back to the good ole straight to VCR days from the mid-1980's. It should fit into a niche, like those fun 80's movies with dudes getting blasted, some cheesy dialogue, and a few minutes of escape.
SEAL Team (2017)
Not Like The Rest
I've seen a few reviews of SEAL Team. It is NOT like the Brave or SIX. The Brave is more like a Rainbow Six book, covert multi-service team that takes on the tier 1+ cases/ops; fiction to the max. SIX is just, eh.
Now, SEAL Team, I dig this show. I'm by no means an operator but did spend time around them, and a bunch of time in the service. They get a lot right in this show and must have a great crew of Subject Matter Experts (SME's) attached to the show. A big plus is not every show is a shoot out!
David Boreanaz stands out; especially his matter of fact, no sh*t stance leadership style. He's getting it right in this role, a bit better than the "sniper" FBI agent from Bones.
Check this show out. Don't just watch one show, give it a few.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Always On
I bet Shawshank is playing on a station somewhere sometime at every hour of the day. That being said I can watch it every time I come across it.
