Reptile (2023)
Solid movie for 2023
I really enjoyed this film. The camera work and the music work very well together. The acting by Benicio Del Toro is unrivaled. He really carries this movie. Alicia Silverstone was also a good addition I did not expect.
This really reminds me of True Detective season 1 which was the best season. Justin Timberlake's acting was a bit off for me. It seemed a bit forced. He was still decent though. If you enjoy crime movies or thrillers with alot of mystery, this one is for you.
The entire cast really seemed like a good choice. They work well together. It really brings you along for the ride in a small town police precinct.
The Legend of Vox Machina (2022)
Epic.
This show is incredible. The animation, the sound design, and the voice actors are all on point. The character development is strong in this series. It truly knows how to detail characters. I think season 2 was even better than season one. I was legitimately surprised at how good it was.
I have to keep writing because there is a character limit. I wonder why they had to do that? 500 characters sure seems like alot. It's a bit unreasonable if you ask me. Grog strongjaw wouldn't like this if he knew about it. Anyway, I have a few more sentences I need to write. This show is good. Very good. Especially if you like animated series. K bye.
The Sandman: 24/7 (2022)
So unnecessarily inappropriate and random
This episode really sucked. You had a bunch of side stories and some really uncomfortable sexual content. It was incredibly boring. The only good parts were towards the end when John/Morpheus battle it out.
The Gray Man (2022)
Entertaining from beginning to end ...
From the soundtrack, the camera work, and the special affects, this movie is entertaining from the start. Great acting from the main cast and amazing fight scenes throughout the movie. Very fun watch.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Very poorly done...
Seems like this is just another cash grab since Disney now owns the franchise. And boy are they doing it a huge disservice with this garbage. The acting is horrible and the special effects are just OK. This couldv'e been so so much better, but woke Disney screws up a great franchise once again.
Outer Range (2022)
Unnecessarily weird...
It pulls you in with the premise, but really under delivers on the end. It's unnecessarily slow and could be better with more action. There are some really odd scenes with Noah Reid's constant singing. IMO those could have totally been left out. There were also some really odd song choices at times. I think this show struggles with an identity crisis.
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
Swing and a miss...
This reboot lacked a lot of what made the original show great. Michael C Hall was the only reason I gave this a chance. The plot/storyline is weak and most of the characters are boring and unlikeable. This was a bit of a fail. Not to mention that disaster of a finale.
Peacemaker (2022)
More woke garbage...
Just another Hollywood flick inserting a bunch of woke ideology. The show has no substance and no plot. It's incredibly boring. The acting stinks too.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (2022)
It was ok...
Without the voices of Kevin James and Adam Sandler, it just doesn't have the same feel. It feels forced. They had 3 solid movies and this one just feels like a cheap money grab. The jokes aren't that funny and some of the voice actors are sorely lacking.
The Wheel of Time: The Flame of Tar Valon (2021)
Too many changes...
I don't understand why it's so hard to be accurate when telling Robert Jordan's story. I don't recall Moraine being a lesbian with Suane. Completely unnecessary addition. Not sure if they are trying to be "woke" but it sure feels like it.
On top of that, they completely change Mat's story as well as how the Ways are opened. Also, Loial looks like a complete joke. Although his voice is fairly accurate. PLEASE stop veering away from the books. They are popular for a reason.
Foundation (2021)
Very well done, with some issues.
This show has amazing visuals and fantastic actors. However, it's incredibly hard to follow. There are different timelines, characters, and scenarios that you have to follow. It's easy to get confused as to what's happening. Will probably watch it again in order to fully understand what's Happening and when.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
Very well done so far.
I haven't seen anything but the first episode, but so far, it's very well done. The special effects are very good and had to be difficult to perform due to all the supernatural creatures and magic that makes up the core of the show. I hope it continues to be accurate to the books. So far I really like it.
Y: The Last Man (2021)
Very well done so far...
I could do without the politics that mirror what were going through today, but the show itself is very well done so far. Great special effects, acting and story.
The White Lotus (2021)
All over the place and boring...
This show can't figure out what it is...is it drama? Comedy? Mystery? The acting is sub-par and the script is a snoozefest. Also didn't need to see a dick in the very first episode. This isn't what makes a show good folks.
Castlevania: The Endings (2021)
Simply artful...
Every minute of the episode left you entertained and on the edge of your seat. The fight sequences were simply masterful. I can't recall the last time I enjoyed an episode of anything this much. There are some incredibly talented folks behind this series. Well done.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Solid 3rd installment
I really enjoyed this. Alot of people wanted cheap scares in this one, but I enjoyed that it had an engaging story behind it all. The acting and special effects were awesome as well.
American Gods: Sister Rising (2021)
Boring af
Nothing of note happens. It's the most boring episode of the season so far.
Lovecraft Country (2020)
All over the place...
The first episode starts out painfully slow...then get VERY weird. The show can't tell what it wants to be so it chose a little bit of everything. I'm giving it another shot but it's scattered for sure.
Extraction (2020)
Solid action thriller
This needs a higher score. The camera work, sound design, and plot were all solid. Very well done.
Greatest Events of WWII in Colour (2019)
Fantastic and Riveting Telling of Events
This production is incredibly well done. The footage they have restored is simply phenomenal to watch. The story telling and narrator are fantastic. Well done.
Captive State (2019)
Exceeded my expectations
I think this movie deserves a little better than 6/10. It was very well done. The acting was fantastic. The effects were well done. The plot, and the twist at the end we're well thought out. I enjoyed this film.
Marianne (2019)
Well-Done Horror
I was truly surprised with this one. Normally, dubbed shows annoy me and take away from the show, but it actually seemed to work in this ones favor. The story line is original and interesting. The special effects are actually very well done. I found myself glued to the TV screen anticipating what was next. This is the first time a show has genuinely scared me on Netflix and I hope there is more like this to come!
Legion: Chapter 23 (2019)
I didn't want it to end!
This episode was incredible. The design of the time demons was impressive and the set design was amazing all around. Very well written episode. Well done!
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
Very interesting series
This series is very well done. The CGI, animation, and stories grab your attention. Not sure why theres so much dick though...
