I watched The First purge this last weekend, during it's weekend release; As one of movies that's suppose to be a Prelude to the other movies in it's series it's not that good.

I am just glad I Have a Moviepass since they paid for the ticket but if i had i would be asking for my money back it was pretty much a Gorefest much of the movie. Which if i understand the plot correctly; OK murder is legal and so forth; i get it (but they went above & beyond to show that/excessive blood/ect.) Save your money folks and wait till it comes out at home.

I am truly blown away by every minute of this movie, There are great science fiction movies, and then there are true masterpieces of science fiction. I would put this in a Masterpiece, it is one of my top five science fiction movies i love.

There are not enough words to describe a masterpiece, yet something must be said of it: Let's just say it is about the survival of the human race & potential solution. The movie is based off a Book that Theoretical Physicist Kip Thorne wrote, it is a story based off the most fascinating subject in all of science fiction; i.e. Black holes.

I don't want to give away the plot other than say GO SEE THE MOVIE. IT is as good as they say it is. I can't give enough props & credit for a movie giving proper credit to lending its support to the Theoretical Physics field and the so called, "Dead End," It hit with Trying to marry Relativity & Quantum Mechanics.

Tom Cruise played the hero in this movie blockbuster really well; I thought the woman he met should have been more developed and expected a bit more out of her but otherwise was a great movie. I would recommend this to any sci-fi/fantasy junkie out there you will love this movie. a do not miss movie. There is not to much to say about this movie other than the fact it is based off time-travel type concept . I don't want to give away the movie to much just recommend if that appeals to you to go see the movie. I really like the concept of him being able to see into the future, however this was not developed as i had wished. Highly recommend this movie in summer movie season or on DVD whenever that comes out to.

I think this is one of the best movies in our generation of the Afghan war . Mark Wohlberg deserves a award from this movie! It is that good! I don't want to give away too much from this but this is a really good representation of war it is really gory so those with a very wimpy stomach probably shouldn't watch this movie as it has a LOT of it. Also be prepared for tear jerker scenes too! I knew there would be some but even as a guy i wasn't ready for them and it just came out! Oh man..but this was awesome i would see this again if i could. I don't have much else to add other than concessions was ripoff as usual i had free drink with nachos or popcorn then looked at nachos and it was like 10 times worth as much to make in my opinion oh well. so i gave my coupon to someone else who used it

I don't know what everyone is else is complaining about maybe I haven't read the book like they did and it's not as good as that. Well I gotta be honest I haven't read the book but I enjoyed this movie very much. There were several points in the movie I was caught up in what was happening as it was happening so fast at the time. I also thought even though some things like were happening and Jack Ryan had to save the world and we were breathless and in awe when we saw what happened. I honestly thought the characters were pretty developed and even though its not a 10 star movie in my opinion i thought it was a pretty decent action thriller movie. There isn't to much to complain about this movie sure its not perfect, but what movie is, honestly people quit comparing the movie to the book you already know the movie won't be like the book. Overall i really liked this movie and its one i would consider watching again just to get back into the feel for what was going on. Highly recommended movie

This was a very interesting movie as a science fiction movie; i thought the concept of two worlds upside down from each other was very interesting but i think it could have been improved upon. I mean if there were really two worlds like that in real life people would try to go over to the other side all the time and this was explained away in the movie by saying that this was outlawed/banned. I think that overall this was a very good movie and i really liked the concept of it. it was a pretty good movie overall but i think that it could have been improved upon in some ways the graphics were very beautiful. I really liked the movie overall and it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. Overall I give it a 8/10

I saw this movie last night..wow..there are not enough words to describe this masterpiece movie designed to show the real 2009 hijacking of the Maersk Alabama. This was done 100% correctly. I won't give it away too much only reason i check the spoiler box when i do my reviews is because I do list some things about the movie sometimes.

Anyway I really enjoyed this movie it was a very tense movie and you are literally on edge throughout the entire movie trying to figure out what will happen and how it all plays out.

I rarely give movies 10/10 on here however this one deserves even more than a 10/10, a 10 simply wouldn't be fair to this true gem .

I would HIGHLY recommend this movie and if you want to see it.. DO IT! It is worth EVERY PENNY.

Tom Hanks performance in this movie is absolutely stunning. Top Notch movie!

Wow wow wow..there are not enough WORDS to describe this masterpiece . I just came back from seeing this not that long ago. i actually felt like I was in space! from the opening scenes all the way to the credits it is one action packed roller coaster! There are absolutely incredibly great sequences throughout and a thrill- ride all the way through. If you are a Sci-Fi at all or into space this is a MUST SEE! You will not be disappointed at all.

There were VERY FEW points in the movie was NOT tense and WRAPPED into the incredible story of survival and tale behind this true Gem.

I give it a 9 because there were "parts" of movie that "sound" was in space when their is NOT sound in space..other than that..BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT!

I actually freaked out during one of the scenes! It was like i was there with them in space watching it for myself.

A True Gem!

This is one of the better Riddick movies out there. I really liked it a LOT. I don't want to give away too much so if you want the details..go watch it for yourself! I watched this movie for a few reasons: 1. It has Vin Diesel & Katie Sackoff in it..No better reason not to watch it just from that! 2. it's a Riddick movie. 3. Kick-a** Sci-Fi Movie!

I really liked the movie a lot and there were a lot of great parts to the movie. The character that Diesel plays is pretty bad-a** and I gotta admit I really liked the way he played it. Even if you haven't seen the other Riddick movies I would HIGHLY recommend seeing this one. It is one of the better ones in my opinion and they did a an AWESOME Job on it.

I am into Sci-Fi/Fantasy Genre and this one blew me away. 8/10 Stars on my watch. There were a few things that could have been improved however an 8 seems fair to me there weren't too many things I could complain about just minor things.

Riddick was one of the best Sci-Fi Movies of 2013 in my books, next would be Oblivion & Elysium coming at a close 3rd or 4th.

This was a pretty good movie in general from beginning to end I really enjoyed the movie and the whole plot in general. There aren't too many things I could think I'd improve about this movie just maybe a little more character development as you are kind of thrown into the characters from the beginning so we don't' see too much of their previous lifestyle or family history, etc. Once you got into the movie it was a fairly pretty good movie overall I mean it seems there was parts it was slow but it got pretty good and i really enjoyed the movie overall. I would recommend this movie for a general/overall entertainment and I'd see it again cause I thought it was pretty good.

I went into this movie not having seen more than 1 or 2 trailers at most and had an open mind. was i in for a ride of the night! this was possibly one of the scariest movies I have ever seen and I mean that. I won't give away too much will just say there are FEW movies that keep me up at night and this was one of them had me trying to get to sleep with lights on at night, Definitely not for kids. It starts out slow and ratches it way up like a roller coaster until about half way through your heart is pounding and your wrists are clenched and you can't take your eyes off the screen. If i had to make a top 10 or top 5 of scariest movies this would be on that list. If you want a scare this is the movie to say. not for the faint at heart! I had even considered walking out of the movie theater for one scene i just closed my eyes. I saw this movie on preview/premiere night. Even my friend i went with whom movies like this usually don't scare her scared the wits out of her !

I really enjoyed this movie.

Even though I haven't read the book personally (have too many books on my to-read list at the moment) I read the sparks notes version of it on Wikipedia and online. Needless to say i think the movie was pretty good overall. Some people didn't like the music in the movie just cause it wasn't jazz music and so forth. Well it is a modern redention of the movie; so that explains why. I really enjoyed the characters, the plot and especially the character Gatsby, it made me feel like i was in 1922 Long Island New York in the summer. I'd be willing to see it again just to see it again. it is a little long; and the party scene or one of them went on and on it wondered how long the party would be. I will always remember that little green lighthouse across the harbor in my mind.

OK I completely lost my first submission so this review will be much shorter and I'll have to recap all my thoughts again here we go: This movie needs a lot of improvement and one of the things I think needs improvement is the character development as well as we don't see too many family relations and how they react with each other. Sometimes we see little short scenes where we see how the characters react with each other but much of the time is a action shots. I have seen better movies and this one i would put in the B rated movie. as an all in all rating of 6/10 OK That's my recap of my review i lost. Hope this review helps someone thinking about wanting to watch this movie. wait for DVD to come out or on the TV later.

This was one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. The characters in the movie were really developed and i though the plot line was alright.

The reason I give it a 8 instead of a solid 10 is because there is a LOT of swearing and also gore involved and i won't get into too much detail other than there is a really bad awful scene where there was a stabbing and yes they show EVERYTHING...that's all i say.

OTHER than that i thought it was a funny movie one thing I'd like to add is though i got everything i expected out of the movie and it was the right length for what i expected. One of the funniest scenes was the bar scene wow that was absolutely hysterical i was just about crying when they played that i wish i had a rewind button just to watch it again.

I highly enjoyed this movie, reason i gave it a 9/10 was because there were SOME parts i think could been further developed. But there are some reviewers saying negative things about this film. I am a long time Scifi/Trekkie seen a lot of episodes of it a lot of the films, along with Stargate SG1, Atlantis, Universe , warehouse 13, Dr Who, BSG (Battlestar Galactica) pretty much everything Scifi I think this movie is one you can't miss you like Scifi like me.

I give this movie high remarks and I am planning on buying this movie when it comes out on DVD.

Characters are great, story is great, acting is great, graphics are superb. What's not to like about Star Trek: Into Darkness? Nothing! Go See It!

Man of Steel is possibly one of the best comic book/action type movies i have ever seen to date. This movie is so good it will keep you every minute watching the action and story-line attached to the plot. I don't want to give away too much but as the title suggests the movies about superman so if you want superman your getting it. About from the first moments of the movie up until the last moments this movie will keep you entertained by great graphics, great characters a great plot-line and a scenario playing out. Some of the scenes in the movie are worth watching alone. There is almost nothing to hate about this movie and if you get the chance to see it, watch it! you won't be disappointed and even if you pay for the late night price (higher ) VS the matinée it is worth every single penny of that.

Don't let other bad reviewers Stop you from watching this movie.

I wasn't sure what to expect walking into a movie like this but i came out of it and i got a lot out of it.

I won't ruin too much about the movie i will say the characters were very well developed and i really enjoyed the plot line and I really enjoyed this as a Sci-fi film .

This is possibly one of the best Sci-fi films i have seen except for a few that remain on that list (like the original star trek and some other classics) although this would fit into my top 10 for sure.

this is one movie that i might go back to time and time again.

I have seen sci-fi for many years and grew up on Star Trek/Wars and Stargate Sg-1, and many other sci-fi's this is one worth watching.

I just saw this movie it was totally stupid and not worth watching at all . I thought the whole premise of the movie was laughable at best. A Bunch of people following some dude to stay at some place? Huh?? I should have turned it off then but NO i had to keep watching what happened..

Next we find out they are some enchanted forest or something where this house and this lady who watches over the inn or something watches over it and the "forest" protects her. huh again?? What? I kept watching..

There is more hooplah to the story and If you really think a bunch of random stories/fairy tells put together tickles your fancy i suppose this is the movie to watch for you but i thought all the "horror" was laughable at best. And the "silver axe" to escape haha what a joke.

This whole movie was a joke and whoever wrote this must been drinking at the time....

Save yourself about 2 hours of time and find something else to watch this one isn't worth it... That's all i gotta say..

Ridley Scotts' Latest Film 'Prometheus' is not that bad of a movie unlike the reviews you read here. If you were expecting a purely Scifi alone movie you should have known that Scott adds that twist of horror onto it to make it even better. I wont spoil too much to it but I will say it is worthwhile movie to watch there were several points in the movie that really stood out for me and even made me jump in my seat (From scared) and one where my heart was pounding. Few movies do that to me and I've been a sci-fi guy for a while and I'd have to give this movie an 8/10 for reasons there were some plots holes throughout the movie that maybe were mentioned/talked about but kinda glanced over. Sure there were some things/mistakes made but there isn't a movie that doesn't have plot holes your talking about trying to portray an idea/thoughts into a 2-3 hour time slot so your bound to make mistakes. Don't let the negative reviews get to you if you are looking to go see it go see it, in fact I'd be willing to see it again if i had another chance.

This is one of the best action movies out there. I have seen it twice and the last time I saw it last night was no different than watching it from the first time.. This movie will grapple/grip you from within the first 10 minutes and hold you all the way to end. Danzle Washington's performance in it is great and this is one of the best action movies in it. There were times it could have been better however every time there is an action sequences it was very well planned out. I don't want to spoil it too much but I do have one thing I want to see- go see this movie if you want a great action movie. It will hold you from start to finish of the movie.
