Thor 'was' invincible. But not after this dreadful movie!
8 September 2022
I was a big fan of the Marvel Comics Super Hero's, with Thor being one of those at the top of the list. But the company behind this movie, have just trashed Thor's reputation, probably irretrievably so.

Thor is now a character that spouts childish jokes that are cringe-worthy. Jokes that must be predominantly aimed at 4 to 10 year old kids.

It has all the trimmings that you would expect to see with your very young children when visiting one of Disney's Theme Parks. Overly saturated bright colours throughout, with plastic armour and clothing for everyone.

Thor is dead to me now. Marvel Comics should be thoroughly ashamed of this abysmal movie!

Terrible at best...
11 July 2022
The script is beyond childish, and is thoroughly cringeworthy from start to finish. WTF were they thinking. Has American film making stooped to an even lower level than before?

Please give-up. Please don't make any more movies. You're a disgrace to the industry!

Stan Lee must be spinning in his grave :-(
18 June 2022
The Marvel Studios have lost the plot with this one.

It's dreadful in every conceivable way. The story/plot is mushy, and isn't really in-keeping with the original ethos of Marvel Comics/Studios.

The only good thing about this TV series is... It has lots of bright oversaturated colour!

Dull Boring with a dreadful music score
29 November 2021
This portrayal of Dianna Spencer is incredibly Dull, Boring, and Depressing, which is only made even worse by the dreadful music score.

The entire film is based around a short visit by Dianna to the annual Royal Family Christmas get-together at Sandringham. Nothing much happens, apart from quiet snide looks from family members at each other throughout the film.

The only good thing about this movie is.... errr... umm... Nope, I can't think of anything.

I would not recommend this film to anyone!

So much potential, but it failed to deliver - Disappointed!
10 August 2021
So much potential, but it failed to deliver.

The music was good in most parts, but the story was let-down by the script. Some great stars in this, such as Leslie Ash, Toyah Wilcox and others, but it was just poorly written.

As a Brit myself, I was thoroughly disappointed with this movie.

Probably a good film, if you can hear the audio dialogue.
4 September 2020
This seems to be a new trend in movies - Screw up the audio, and make it almost impossible to understand what is being said by the actors. Visually, it looked quite exciting, with great action. But the sheer lack of clarity of the spoken voices just killed it for me.

Please bring back Audio Specialists in the movie making industry!

What a sad, cringe-worthy way for Paul Hogan to go out.
25 July 2020
I used to admire Paul Hogan, with his TV shows, and then the Crocodile Dundee movies. I found him mostly funny and highly entertaining. But this???

This movie is filled with non-funny slapstick humour, that would barely raise a laugh with young children, let alone adults. It's cringe-worthy from the very beginning to the very end. The script is appalling, and the various scenarios enacted are worse than anything you would see in the old Black & White slapstick comedies of old.

Don't waste your time with this movie. You'll regret it.

TERRIBLE MOVIE - Don't waste your time watching it.
15 July 2020
This has to be the very worst King Arthur movie ever made. The story line and script is extensively boring in every way. The 'actors' must have been gathered from the village amateur dramatics society. The sword fighting is akin to children playing with wooden swords in the playground. Long shots of the castle in a coastline hill are terrible CGI, typical of 1990's home computer games.

I can't think of anything positive to say about this film. It's just terrible!

Rocket Hunter (2020)

The Village Amateur Dramatics Society rents a video camera, to make a movie.
8 February 2020
This has to be the worst 'movie' that I've ever seen, and if that's what the people who made this 'movie' were hoping to achieve, then they have succeeded beyond all expectations.

Where do I begin? From start to finish, the acting was less than the village amateur dramatic society would have reached on a bad day. The 'effects' were cringe worthy at best. The script was appalling. I could go on, but I've lost the will.

Let's look at a major aspect of the 'story' line: the aircraft. All aircraft in this 'movie' are radio-controlled models. No attempt was made to disguise this in any way whatsoever.

The 'German' train/locomotive is nothing less than an obviously American steam loco, and still shows it's American 481 insignia. Later in the movie, a child's toy train set is used to show the train crashing an exploding.

Amazingly, for WW2, the 'German' locomotive engineer/driver is able to make instant radio contact with an American Bomber aircraft, asking him not to bomb the train.

During a discussion, a German SS officer describes distance in Kilo's instead of Kilometres. So he actually describing weight instead of distance. Stupidly written dialogue. The same can be said of a German officer using the phrase, "Turn-on-a-dime", which no German would have ever used. All aircraft cockpit views are just a few badly riveted metal frames, and are no better than a cardboard box. A British pub/bar is nothing more than a few planks of wood, nailed together, as are some of the German Rocket Factory offices.

During an 'Air Raid", German guards can be seen rushing out and randomly shooting at absolutely nothing. In a London home, there's a telephone on the side that doesn't ring, but the 'British' guy picks up the phone anyway and answers it with "Hello"

The list could go on and on, but the bottom line is, this is one terrible movie, and probably doesn't even rate worthy of a Rotten Tomato Award.

Such a disappointing movie. More like 89 minutes gone!
29 September 2019
I am usually a fan of Bruce Willis movies, but I was left bemused after enduring this one. My first observation was how stilted every actor was, including Bruce Willis himself. It was like a school play first rehearsal, where everyone was not sure of their lines, and totally devoid of any connection to the character that they were supposed to be portraying.

The bad script had some ludicrous moments, in particular during a full-on gun battle between many police and bad guys, a woman walks out of the bank shouting "What the hell is going on out here? I have family in here!"

I don't think this film did Bruce Willis any favours, other than the pay cheque he received for it

Cute film, but nothing special
28 August 2019
While this film is just about OK, it's nothing special. It's about two teenager girls wanting to get to Woodstock, against the wishes of their parents. Nothing too improbable about the films story-line, and no real surprises anywhere.

On a technical level, the film appears to have been made by newbies to the film-making industry, notably when the girls sing, and the audio changes distinctly from from ambient to in-studio, despite being in an open barn. Plus, there was no real attempt to do lip-sync during the songs.

As for the songs themselves, again there's nothing special with any of the new compositions, and they lacked the vibrancy of the Woodstock era.

Two stressed. argumentative hormonal sisters run a multi billion dollar NASA Mars program badly.
9 June 2019
This is one of the worst Sci-Fi films I have ever watched. So bad that I had to stop watching half way through. The film falls down from the very beginning with two stressed, argumentative and highly hormonal sisters, who hate each other, working alone on a multi-billion dollar NASA project, unsupervised, except for a power crazy AI system (Think HAL).

Honestly, would any major NASA division ever be run like this? Of course it wouldn't. Hence the entire plot falls down within the first few minutes.

Great Start, but followed by mediocre unrelated stories.
22 November 2018
I had great expectations for this film, based on the IMDB rating, and the opening story kept my attention throughout. However, the following stories were generally mediocre and lacked substance, getting more dreary and uninteresting as the film dragged on until the end. They should have kept with the first story only, which is where the title of the film comes from, and turn 'that' into a full feature film, which I'm sure would be a blockbuster. So, my rating of the six films is 1 out of six.

Boring beyond belief - One Scene Warehouse Shootout for 90 mins
3 June 2017
This has to be one of the most boring films ever made. apart from the first couple of minutes, the entire film is shot (excuse irony) inside an abandoned factory/warehouse, And everybody shoots at everybody. I am surprised that it lasted so long, but even more surprising is the number of exaggerated high score votes for this film, which looks like vote rigging to the extreme. My vote score of 1 is too high. I would have rated this a zero if that were an option

Assassin (2015 Video)
1/10
Bad script, Bad acting, Bad Audio, Bad continuity, but otherwise good! (Sarchasm)
12 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I've enjoyed other movies with Danny Dyer as the lead, but Assassin is different.

Whilst the story had potential, it became both predictable, and laughable. Irritatingly, the audio mix became too heavy on the background music, to the point where speech couldn't be understood. This wasn't helped by Danny's predilection to mumble his words. The primary two female characters in the story were acting without any real or believable emotions. It's as if they were reading the script out loud for the first time.

Laughably, the continuity was beyond belief with regards to Danny's Motorbike helmet, which switched from black to silver throughout the movie, and even within single riding sequences. Maybe the movie budget couldn't stretch to buy two black helmets if one was damaged during the filming.

Then there's an unbelievable sequence where two thugs attempt to break-into Danny's hide-out. After Danny kills the thug who inexplicably appeared to be able to get upstairs in the small house, Danny then fires 10 shots into the other thug, at almost point blank range as he runs out of the hallway unaffected by being hit by 10 bullets.

When Danny confronts Gary Kemp, Garry shoots, grazing Danny's leg, yet the large pane of glass behind Danny is unaffected.

The ending is truly yawn inducing.

This has to be one of the worst films I have endured.

Cardboard acting with a terrible script.
21 July 2013
I have just endured this film, and frankly, found it to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. The knights in battle scenes are reminiscent of a local village re-enactment society performing to a bunch of schoolchildren. The main character constantly talking to himself was laughable and made him less than believable as a character.

Flashback scenes to times of the crusades were cringe worthy. The sudden dramatic music when showing scenes of the main house, made no sense at all, other than to advise the viewer that this was possibly a scary house, where nothing really scary happened.

My local dramatic society, comprising of pensioners and eager school children, could have done a far better job of the story, and made it more believable.

Bachelorette (2012)

Comedy??? Maybe a few laughs but… mainly Cringe
8 February 2013
Maybe I was expecting too much, but this film made me cringe. The basic plot of a failed bachelorette party and a wedding dress disaster, could have been scripted in a much better and funnier way, but instead, relied on stupidly contrived events about excessive coke snorting combined with unnecessary use of the "F" and "C" words.

The plot scenarios were ludicrous, and mostly way beyond the realms of reality. There was so much coke snorting involved, that this film could almost be a promotional film sponsored by your local coke dealer.

The film is just bad slapstick humour, but without the fun.

Maybe good for a laugh if you're a very young teenager.
