p-p-p-Porky Pig: Rock Legend
24 April 2004
We see Porky Pig taking his teenage daughter (Peta Pig) to a rock concert. When he realises just how wild the concert is, he will stop at nothing to get inside.

This cartoon is very fast paced, especially for a Porky Cartoon and you can really see how he has stood the test of time. The cartoon has some good gags and even some funny theater jokes (the cartoon is a theater short but I caught it on DVD). Porky's voice is abit off and has hints of the new Woody Woodpecker, also voiced by West. The other Looney Tunes voices in this series of shorts have been very authentic but Porky still needs some work. Bob Bergen would be a good choice for future reference.

It was abit strange seeing Porky without that Darnfool, Daffy duck but It was good to see Porky was not toned down for his stuttering.

There is still hope yet for these new shorts. (Hopefully) Thats NOT all folks.

A new Duck Dodgers Theatre short
24 April 2004
Duck Dodgers in Attack of the Drones puts our heroe Duck Dodgers, voiced by Billy West, In a parody With Star Wars Episode II. The Galactic republic senate, (which features cameos from the sci fi genre) needs an army to stop an impending invasion. From Here, Dodgers goes to the local 'Clone O Matic' and creates one hundred duplicates of himself.

The cartoon has alot of funny site gags and tries very hard to meet the standards of the golden cartoons, It does not meet with the classic "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century" but it is still very funny. Comparing it to the original, This one has alot of computer animation for Invaders, Space Crafts, Drones and the like and it lacks the layout designs of Maurice Noble as seen in many space-set Looney Tunes. A very good cartoon worth a watch.

I say Foghorn Leghorn's got competition
24 April 2004
'Cock a Doodle Duel' takes the classic texan rooster, Foghorn Leghorn, and sets him up against a new Genetically Engineer Rooster.

This new Rooster is better than Foghorn in every possible way, but thats won't stop this loud mouth chicken from crowing. Jeff Glen Bennett nails Foghorns voice pretty good and even kicks it up a notch "Whoo Dawg!". Even good old Barnyard dog makes an appearence.

Will the hens fall for this pretty boy or will Foghorn get into some fowl play? "See that's a joke son"
