I became a Robert Downey Jr. fan when I saw the movie "Chaplin". I then caught him in a few other movies, one of them, notably, is "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang".

In "Iron Man", Downey Jr. uses a sort of sarcastic humor that is nothing new to his fans. Like everyone else, I too was skeptical about Robert Downey Jr. in a superhero role, but man was I wrong. He is what made this movie, in my opinion.

Now, Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow did great jobs in their respective roles. But Robert Downey Jr.'s humor and humanity, added with amazing special effects, make for a movie that is well worth the $7.50 I paid for the ticket.

I hope that this makes Downey Jr. the star he deserves to be.

I like Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall. I like their stand up comedy routines. I just do not like their movie Delta Farce.

I put a spoiler warning on here, even though it doesn't really need it, as I doubt anyone will see this, and the plot is so predictable that there wouldn't even be a spoiler, yet there may be one or two people who might want the end kept secret until they see it. But please, wait until it comes to DVD and rent it. Wait until the time it goes from New Release to regular rental where it's much cheaper, or unless you can find the poor bastard who would shell out 20 bucks for this film and borrow it from him or her.

If you want to see this film soon, go to a matinée where it's much cheaper, as I did. Trust me, you'll be glad you didn't shell out 7 bucks for this clunker.

As I said, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall are funny guys, or at least I think so. I mean, Larry was great in Cars. I don't blame the film on them. I blame the movie on the horrible writing and crappy directing. The writers of the film haven't even written a TV show, yet somehow are qualified to write a nationwide theatrical release (you know that when one of the writers has a first name of Bear, you are not in for a good time). Not that I took this film seriously at the get go, but the fact that they landed in Mexico on the way to IRAQ told me that this whole film was a joke. Keith David and Danny Trejo seemed like Nickelodeon cartoon characters compared to their characters in other movies. They are both pretty intimidating guys in other movies, but not this one.

Since I've got a spoiler warning, I'll give you an idea of the dumb sequences included in this film. Larry, surrounded by perhaps 20 armed Mexicans with their guns pointed directly at him, is asked by Danny Trejo's character if he really thinks he can kill everyone in the room with all of those guns pointed at him. Larry replies, "No, but I can kill just one...you", to where Trejo replies, "Damn, I didn't think of that". That kind of stuff. Trejo reminds me of George Lopez as that plug-in like villain in Sharkboy and Lavagirl (I was forced to watch that film, just as bad as Delta Farce).

I had a couple laughs here and there, but I sat through the film mostly with my head resting in my hands, envying the woman next to me who was sleeping, because some 11 year old kid wouldn't stop braying like a retarded horse throughout the film.

And of course, Larry lands the beautiful girl and makes out with her all the time at the end of the film. It makes Kevin James and Leah Remini from the King of Queens look like Romeo and Juliet.

This film was worse than Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. That's like saying that the Godfather is better than Citizen Kane. Haha, this might be the only time that Godfather and Citizen Kane will be mentioned with Health Inspector and Delta Farce ever.

Larry (sorry, I mean Dan), if you're not going to release a good comedy, then just stick to stand up.

I'm giving this film three for the possible three laughs I had watching this movie.

First of all, let me just state that I am a Toby Keith fan first. I will discuss him later.

The Dixie Chicks have always had good music. A half-hearted comment by Natalie Maines thrust the Dixie Chicks into First Amendment hell, and Freedom of Speech into the conversations of many Americans.

Shut Up & Sing not only shows the horrors of what the Chicks went through, but it also highlights their terrific new music that the country music community is missing out on.

Seeing the wonderful mothers that they make, and then seeing the death threat being sent to them is truly shaking. This film is highly interesting and heartbreaking. The arrogance of the conservative community and their great misunderstanding of what free speech means scares you. Yeah, there are some funny parts, but what's really gripping is how the Chicks deal with the downfall of their popularity. We have an idea of what Natalie is thinking when she reads her death threat, but to actually read her mind, it is impossible, and unless we experience the same thing, we cannot comprehend just how horrible she must have felt. There are some truly sick individuals in this country.

That said, I must address the Toby Keith issue. The film definitely makes Toby Keith out to be this horrible monster who represents everything the limiting conservative base stands for. The feud was immature on both parts, and the fact that Natalie chose to wear the FUTK shirt, confirming it meant F*** You Toby Keith, and then stating that it meant Freedom, understanding, truth and kindness, it made me lose a little respect for Natalie. It also made me think of their manager Simon Renshaw as somewhat of a weasel. How he giggled with glee when Natalie decided to wear the FUTK shirt. If the Toby part wasn't in this movie, I would have given this film a 10 out of 10. Yeah, maybe it is because I'm a huge Toby fan, but it didn't help me believe that she was the bigger person, by stooping to Toby's level, and it kind of put the movie off track in doing so.

That said, the Dixie Chicks deserve to be back on Country Radio. That is their core music. Sadly, the community of Country Music no longer wants to embrace the Chicks. It's too bad that her comments weren't said later, when Natalies feelings are being more resounding throughout the country.

After having seen Wild Hogs, I have to say that this film was the most fun I've had at the theaters in a YEARS! Since the movie was announced around a year ago, I have been shaking to see this movie, and it was worth the wait. What a fun movie! By the way, I'm not a paid reviewer for a movie studio to give "positive" reviews.

I know a bad movie when I see one, even in previews. Norbit was not a good movie. Night at the Museum was good, not the greatest. But Wild Hogs was great for a cold winter night to sit in a PACKED theater and laugh along with everyone else.

OK, Tim Allen hasn't been in some good movies lately. He just doesn't seem to care about making quality movies. But he sure hit the jackpot with this movie. Having been a fan because of Home Improvement, I found Tim Allen to have one of his funniest performances in years. The bull-slapping scene was hysterical.

John Travolta isn't exactly known for his comedy, but he sure does make a person laugh here. His expression after he blows up the biker bar is priceless. After seeing John Travolta play such serious characters throughout the years, it's refreshing to see his lighter side.

At first, Martin Lawrence's presence in this movie was a little odd. What on Earth is Martin Lawrence doing in a movie with Tim Allen, John Travolta, and William H. Macy? You know what? Who cares?! After some hardly funny movies throughout the years, Lawrence really shines in this film. Sure it's kind of hard to see Lawrence hanging out in this crowd, riding a motorcycle across the country, but it totally works. The scene where he pours ketchup and mustard on two of the Del Fuegos was hilarious.

Then there was William H. Macy. What can I say about this man? Known for his great dramatic performances in movies such as Fargo and The Cooler, he is the highlight of this film, for me. He has a real future in comedy! His character, Dudley, proudly shows off his new "biker" tattoo. Instead of it being an eagle or something macho, it turns out to be the Apple Computer logo. The beginning sequence proved to be the point of the film where we discover that Macy was going to be hysterical. It's where Tim Allen is riding his motorcycle, soon to be joined by John Travolta, where they bump fists. Soon, Martin Lawrence joins the two and bumps fists with Tim Allen. Then, here comes Macy, where he bumps fists with Travolta, and in doing so, gets knocked off balance, going all over the place, eventually running into a big sign. Macy is a comic revelation in this movie, I can't simply tell all of his funny moments.

We all know that Ray Liotta makes a great bad guy, and this film is no different. You love to hate him here. At first I thought that he was a little out of place as a mean biker, but he gives a convincing performance.

If you watch the show "Scrubs", then you will recognize John C. McGinley..."Dr. Cox"...as a big, lean, homosexual cop who takes a fancy to the four Wild Hogs. For the little time he is in the movie, he steals every scene he is seen in.

One thing though...why does M.C. Gainey appear in every movie he's in as a bad redneck or biker or truck driver and so on? Well, in almost every movie except Sideways...he's still a bad guy, just not a redneck bad guy.

In short, critics are telling you to ignore this film. I'm telling you, if you want to have a great time at the movies with your family, (although not exactly for children under 12) then this is the film to see. There are nonstop laughs from start to finish. I enjoyed the HELL out of this film, and so will you.

Being too young to have seen the original series of the Dukes of Hazzard, I have just recently discovered the show on CMT. I am now a HUGE fan of the show. It is funny and hugely entertaining. Now, while the movie version is not a pinpoint similarity to the series, I found the movie fun and enjoyable to watch.

This is a somewhat positive review, and it seems like no one liked this film based on other reviews, and I think that it's good that the people who didn't like this movie didn't like it because it didn't have the same family values as did the TV show. I believe the movie is aimed toward teens who haven't seen the show, or just all teens in general. If you have grown up watching the show, it is clearly understandable why you didn't like this movie.

While I saw many differences, I enjoyed the film because of: 1) The chemistry of Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville 2) the action 3) Jessica Simpson, even though she was in the film little (and it's not my favorite reason for liking the film, but it was eye-candy) 4) David Koechner's Cooter 5) THE GENERAL LEE!! 6) Car chases and others but I won't go into it all right now.

Now here is my disapproval of the film. 1) Willie Nelson-- I respect the man so much. He is one of the coolest people to walk the planet Earth, but he was not born to play Uncle Jesse. Like others before me said, Pyle's Jesse was a respectful family man who had strong morals. Nelson's Jesse cussed like a sailor and said nothing but one-liners throughout the whole movie (even though I thought it was all funny). And I don't think Pyle's Jesse came out of a shed which had smoke billowing from the door cracks, due to a certain weed that Nelson is notorious for smoking.

2) Probably my biggest complaints of the film-- the bad casting of Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg, and M.C. Gainey as Roscoe P. Coltrane. Before the movie came out, I imagined that Reynolds and Gainey would have the same goofiness that Booke and Best had in the series. Even though I can't see Reynolds walking around with a chicken drumstick everywhere he goes, that's the kind of thing I expected. It is obvious Reynolds was casted because of his Smokey and the Bandit movies, (which are equally fun). Now, I let the movie off easy for Reynolds bad casting, because Hogg could be a little evil in the series, but I am not letting Gainey's portrayal of Coltrane go that easy. James Best portrayed Coltrane as goofy in every way. You couldn't hate him because he was so lovable and goofy. Gainey makes you just want to run him over with your car. And I still had an aftertaste of that very uncomfortable-to-watch scene of Gainey in Sideways in my mind.

People said that the movie is nothing but car chases and hoots and howls, the same could be said about the show, so I don't see why there is a disapproval of the movie on that basis.

The show had Hogg and Coltrane and Enos after the Dukes every episode, only getting in the way of some real bad guys the Dukes are after. The movie has the main enemy as Hogg and Coltrane.

I hear that there will be a sequel of the movie. Fine. But it's supposed to be set in London. That is a total misrepresentation of the show and I don't know if I want to see it if it's going to be in London. Not anything against the city or it's people, but the Dukes is a Southern U.S. setting.

I will buy the Dukes of Hazzard when it comes on DVD. I thought it was $5.75 well spent, and if you have the chance, see it, if you haven't seen the original series. Otherwise, you may want to follow the other comments on this board.
